Ugly day. Last day off for the kids. Overcast and 65.
Weather in Your Garden # 94
50 and rain. The story of our week this week. No sun forcasted. Ugh!
Yes, ugly week ahead. In just March and April, I have had 19 inches of rain! Plus the snow melt. Crazy.
I had one day of sun since last Sunday, not yesterday. This is rough for the GH as the plants need sun and heat to grow.
In other words I am off balance with the tomats, peppers etc verses the broad leafs.
I had a hard time to get in here also today. 1 day last week also.
Now its raining and I am in for the day. GH is OK but gloomy in there.
Spring break this week, I'll be dropping my son over his friend's house in a bit to go play over there.
I think I woke up in the middle of summer.
I still have the air on.
It's 82° right now
Wow, 82!!
It's very hot when the sun is out and I much prefer overcast skies but it hasn't stopped me from my lupine baby rescue. There must be 100 I dug up and now have to plant and I haven't even hit all the areas where they're growing.
Tee shirt today!
52° & damp. there were off & on showers. semi-raw. I had trouble accessing DG this morning so read somewhere else.
Sun coming out now. 68.
Miserable day here until about an hour ago, now the sun is shining with a nice breeze. The forecast for the rest of the week, however, isn't good. I don't get the threat of thunderstorms everyday in April. 65 today but they say 82 tomorrow. This is weird.
Celeste I can teach you some GOOD polish words when we meet up... LOL
In the 80's today and humid. We jumped into summer. Poor peas. Hopefully it cools down again.
Cooled down by 16° and got real cloudy and damp within 2 hrs, looks like thunderstorms coming.
We hit 83°
we're at 74% humidity...gross!
It was in the low 70s this afternoon, & I worked in the yard for hours....but....it was the first day I was bothered by bugs!
Speaking of bugs, I saw an ad for the evening news with a feature about invasion of the Stink Bugs. Fog rolled in thick as soup around 6:30.
Maybe it wasn't real fog, but a stinkbug treatment.
foggy here too.. and I got a mosquito bite walking the dogs last night... 57 now going to 73... even though the tv said 80.. that is always the city temps.. I am usually a little cooler
57 degrees this morning with more rain predicted. High supposed to be 79. I listened to the weather forecaster yesterday and froze all day.
The stink bugs have been coming out of the woodwork all winter here every time it warmed up. I sure hope they're gone now.
54, wind at 5 MPH, slight chance of showers. Foggy now.
Yep - crazy fog. Starting to lift. Will be about 80. Too hot!
55°, wind from the Southwest at 9 mph, humidity 92%, overcast
Going up to 66° today under partly sunny skies, winds increasing to 14 mph. Clouding up again tonight with fog, tonight's low 60°.
63 this morning at 8:30 going up to too hot.
Stink bugs galore all spring.
47 and rain, going up to 54
It's 57 now, heading to 75....I'll take it! The stinkbugs that eat crops have white bands on the antennae....we are supposed to report any of those that we find to the Aggie Station....
Up to 74 already
52° & cloudy
67 and sunny for the moment. We had fog this am. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the T-storms predicted stay away.
79 and humid (65%).
66°, humidity 74%,
SW wind gusting to 20 mph
high was 83° 50% humidity
83, with 53% H. Hit 84 before. Did not work outside as planned. Combo of heat/humidity and allergies driving me nuts. Constantly clearing my throat. Very annoying.
My son is doing the same thing, but it's worse when we're at home, I'm thinking it's either the dog or the carpeting
69°, Humidity 70%
Cleaned out my shade garden, (which is no longer a shade garden since the neighbor cut down his tree).
Then all of a sudden I noticed a drop of sweat on my eyebrow from working too hard. So I sat down and took some pics and enjoyed the rest of day. ☺!)
Good thing you caught it just in time, WC! Photo of the solitary sweat bead?
Nice.
Jen, my guess is it's the sky-high pollen. If it were inside, he would have been doing it all winter.
Some flash floods in Syracuse. Anything by you, Deb? Ark getting whacked again. Worst tornado period I can remember.
