poppy collage
Garden Photos 2011 one per day # 5
Love that color harmony, Jo Ann.
Those Venus poppies are hardy. They germinate sooner and have a larger % of germination I have ever seen.
Very nice, Jo....the pinks are great in that collage....
Nice poppies, Jo. I need to get some seeds started of those.
Karen
Just sprinkle them in the soil right now, Karen....they are easy to grow.....I have Calif. poppies in my veggie garden from last year.....
Pretty Ge!
last year but still nice,thanks
Well they should be popping up THIS year, very soon I would think. :)
thry are up,not bloomed yet
What do they look like Jo? I sprinkled some seeds early spring.
they did that to mine last year.. I got lucky they didn't get the blooms
Thats what I'm thinking.
Hopefully they didn't get the blooms. Deer or rabbits are finally getting my crocuses.
Will try some poppies this year. Tried last year, but it was so hot and dry I couldn't keep them watered enough.
Karen
So pretty!!!
Nice companions Karen.
Thanks.
Orange is Anni's new fav color....love it in that iris. Jo, is that iris blooming now for you? None here :(
No,It bloome in May 14 inches tall.Mid America 2009.
That makes me feel better!
I am hopeing I will see dwarf iris soon.
Sounds like a beauty pageant winner.
ooohh I love it Patti.. seems my crown imperials took a pooper... only see one poking up out of several I have planted over the years.. think I am done with them.. even though I love them
Onewish1, I have not had much luck with the F.crown imperial either, but am trying some this fall in a different spot after giving up for a few years. Patti
I planted one set normal... and one set on it's side to keep the water out of the depression.. made no difference
:(
My Frits are up but no blooms yet. I want to plant more for next year.
Never tried frits, but they are interesting.....
I've never tried frits, either, but would like to. Those are nice, Patti.
I like that JM, Jo.
Karen
