I will just use this space to say that they identified the plant as Chinese Foxglove Rehmannia elata.

Love that meadow phlox! Looks so dainty.

I have tried to take some pictures today. The wind is still crazy and blowing hard.
My roses by the front door have started to bloom today. Soon it will be a solid wall of pink.

Are you sure that all of these beautiful flowers are growing in your garden and they are not pictures you took at the Dallas Arboretum? (ha) Anyway you are making me realize that I need to spend some time planting flowers in my front yard and stop spending all my time with the vegetables in my back yard. I have planted a few flowers in the back yard, out of character for me, in hanging baskets and containers, but only because this year I want to attract more bees and butterflies .

I just love flowers ... this year they are just popping out everywhere.
My garden now is 5 yrs old and going strong.
I spent a lot of time researching perennials, bulbs and plants for DFW. I have only 3 small annual beds that I change twice a year. The rest come and go by itself.

The Cedar Sage survived the winter in the ground and is putting on a show. I'd like more of this pretty little thing.

My California Poppies are starting to bloom. I love their striking color in the garden.

They are wild in California ... and also protected over there.

I planted a couple of plants a few years ago and they're still going. I haven't seen any new volunteers.

The Sweet William (dianthus barbatus) is blooming like crazy. I love the color!

Well, I finally have a few blooms. If the wind dies down this weekend I should have an explossion. Almost every rose is covered w/buds.

My only Austin blooming so far, Snow Goose.

A new rose for me, so I'm excited to see it blooming, Bubble Bath.

I always struggle to capture the smoky overtones in the colororing for this one. My camera just doesn't do justice to Paprika, but it is blooming away!

And finally Papillon Rose in a very windy spot and slightly gnawed on my Japanese Beetles. I love the color!

Pretty roses!

Today the weather was just fantastic !
Everything is blooming so beautiful.
This is the focal point of my front yard.

Lots of Bearded Irises are blooming ... some earlier than other years

Blue sage
