Funny joke, pirl!
Hope you can avoid surgery, Jo. After being off to a good start with the knee recovery, I seem to be stuck. Still have quite a bit of pain.
WHAT a WORLD
Thanks, Victor.
Sorry to hear you're in pain. Is there any remedy for it?
Bullet?? Saw? ^_^
Hard choice! LOL
I hope it improves very soon, as cleanup time is here.
Stay off it more.
See the doc, might be infection.Dont want to scare you but it happens.
Have you kept up with your therapy, Victor?
Victor,I had hip replacement 3 times. It takes a long time to heal. 4 weeks until I could drive.
I heard knees take even longer.
We have a friend who got his new hips and had no problems but the new knees were a major problem and a long recovery. He was a NY Giants football player back in the glory days and is now in his 80's.
My hips are great. I dont even know they are there. No crossing legs and bending at the waist unless knees are bent but otherwise I walk.
I was driving 4 weeks after surgery. It was done arthroscopiclly not very invasive,no ling scar to heal.
Yes, I have kept up with the exercises, Frank. I have heard that about knees vs. hips as well. Hopefully it will improve or I will let the doc know. Was always afraid that this surgery would not work and I would end up getting a partial replacement anyway.
OHHHH I thought thats what you had.
Sorry, and I suppose you are tired of everyons opinion.nuff said
Not at all - I appreciate it.
Victor - you're the ideal patient and exactly what doctors want - a patient who takes pride in his appearance and works to stay in shape. I wish you the best with whatever you do.
Thanks, pirl!
Victor my husband had two meniscus surgeries and still wound up with a full knee replacement...good luck!
Ugh - thanks, Ronnie. Hoping not to follow him!
Glad to hear it Victor. DW had partial knee replace last winter and it took her about a month before she could work again (but had to take it easy) and she is still careful when kneeling down. She uses a knee pad. Of course everyone should do that even in the garden. I use those pads they use in construction/carpenters. My biggest handicap is trying to get back up!
Still cannot kneel. Even the normal wife adoration/genuflection had to be suspended.
I like that adoration line!
Man that's BAD!!!
I like the genuflection, too!
my fil had his hip replaced last monday - he is now in a rehab facility/old folks home - he is not a good patient right now because of the restrictions/pain - a very cranky italien - i feel bad for him and hope he is up and moving soon - then i will bust his chops for being cranky:)
Catholic upbringing!
Sorry to hear, Bill. Best wishes to him!
I use knee pads that I put on each knee.
Hope your knee gets better, Victor.
Hope your fil heals fast, wha.
Thanks. Salt in the wound - got another sinus infection, or the first never really healed. Can't win!
Have not been using it. Have to get back to it.
Tough to get old, Victor! Really hope the knee feels better soon.....my DH suffered terribly because they could not replace his....Bill, hope your FIL mends quickly....don't really blame him for being cranky....I wasn't very pleasant when I broke my hip.....it's so hard relying on others.
thx all - hope he heals quickly too.
