How to search for a particular post by number

I have far too many tabs and watched threads and frequently want to go back to one post, not the whole thread.

I would like to be able to jot down the number of a particular post and find it later. Is there any way to search for a particular post by number?

Yes there is.

You can click on the post # under the member's name and tag it. That is one way.

If you have the post # but didn't tag it, open up any post via the post number link and you'll see the string of numbers in the URL at the top of the page. Remove those numbers from the end of the URL and past the numbers of the post you wish to locate and hit 'Enter'

That should take you right to the post you want to see.

Thanks. That will be very helpful for future. I have tagged so many posts that it is no longer helpful. LOL. Have computer files galore of things I've copied. But keeping a legal pad in front of my computer so I can note post # to search for and just a short description will help clarify my senior brain - I hope.
