This is an informative article about the radiation particles and it traveling.

Worried about a radioactive ocean? A reality check:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_sci_radiation_q_a;_ylt=ApensycBok5kbRyqtXB6x0as0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTNrbG9zN2R1BGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMTEwNDA2L3VzX3NjaV9yYWRpYXRpb25fcV9hBGNjb2RlA21vc3Rwb3B1bGFyBGNwb3MDMwRwb3MDNwRwdANob21lX2Nva2UEc2VjA3luX3RvcF9zdG9yeQRzbGsDd29ycmllZGFib3V0

Some things we just don't know about, but the chernobyl accident short term effects have been very helpful to researchers, so I am encouraged.

I am especially thankful that Japan may now be able to do recovery and rebuild. And hopefully the high doses of radiation particles won't fall over populations. I know Jon would like to be able to take his children outside without having to wear some sort of breathing mask.

Jon, glad to see you posting here! Praying for you and your family everyday.

Hugs,

Anyone heard any good news today.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

Nope. The winds have shifted and radioactive rain is falling on my house today...

Stay inside and sending prayers your way. So sorry.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Adding prayers for you, JuneyBug.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

All of the different governments tell us that it isn't really that bad - but I was raised to never trust the words of a government official... DH had to drive down south today and is going to be in and out of the rain all day. I made him take a pack of baby wipes to wipe the rain off if it got onto him as that is our only defense against absorbing it.

So sorry to hear that, JuneyBug. Use umbrellas and plastic rain coats to keep water off too.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

JuneyBug - So sorry to hear about the rain possibly being dangerous right now. I would definitely use all precautions. Hopefully the government officials aren't lying this time.

I've not heard any news today about Japan. You know what they say ... No news is good news! :-)

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

I think that they must finally be getting a handle on the nuclear part of the triple disaster, I am hoping that house building and repair start soon as it is spring ☺ finally.

An American builders company is building thousands of pre fabricated homes to ship over there right now.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

That will help out a lot!☺ I suppose that furniture makers all over the world are ramping up their shipments, too.

Don't know about those but it was all over my news a couple days ago about Viceroy builders getting a call from the government contracting them for thousands of homes as fast as they can build them. They accepted. Was looking good yesterday, had lots of it going. They said there was over 350,000 homeless and they were gonna get them in homes asap.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh Juney, please know we are praying for you and everyone that is in this dangerous Zone.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much, it is sad that the recovery is to take so long and the aftershocks continue.
The schools up north are working on trying to consolidate students and open, as they traditionally do in early April: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704587004576244161458413524.html

Tokyo, Japan(Zone 10a)

Hey guys we are used to earthquakes here, they happen. Nuclear disasters, perhaps! We have to live with these things so we do, Just think there for the grace of god go I.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

Yeah, your 'aftershocks' would qualify as our major quakes! How is your house doing with all of this rockin' & a' rollin'?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

No doubt! Talk about walking on shaky ground! I hope there are no more repeats of intense quakes like this recent one. Sheesh!

Got your family in my prayers, Jon! Please be safe!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Amen ... ( Still praying for you guys over there)

Tokyo, Japan(Zone 10a)

Hi guys. I must confess to having a hard time keeping up with the responses from y'all but it's nice work!
The house is still standing, I really don't know how as we have had so many aftershocks, they say for another six months we will have them. Shaky ground, right on the money with that comment! LOL.
Thank you ALL for your kindness and prayers, GOD BLESS!
Jon

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jon - Sorry to hear that it may be 6 months more worth of after-shocks! I hope you get your home repaired and safe again. It's amazing that it has held up so well despite the many strong quakes. I hope things start getting on the road to recovery ASAP! We are praying for you, your family, and all of Japan!

Tokyo, Japan(Zone 10a)

Hi y'all and thanks! The shaking is still going on and their now saying we're in for increased activity for the next 5 to 10 years. The nuclear plant in Fukushima is still not anywhere near under control but radiation has fallen a little here. Rainy season is on us, everything is rushing out of the ground especially the weeds! Next we've the darn mosquitoes to put up with! What a life!!

(Zone 7a)

Jon - keeping you and all in your dilemma in our thoughts and prayers. You are such an inspiration - thank you.

Balotesti, Romania(Zone 5a)

Jon, thinking of you everyday and praying for you all to be safe. Life goes on and you are too! I hope you are gardening like always.

Hugs,
Adina
