Memcache Could Not Connect - FYI Only

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

This bug has been mentioned many times. I am merely sending you information for your use in understanding and tracking down this error. If it's something you already know about and information you don't need, please disregard.

Attached is a screen shot showing the screen I saw a minute or so ago when 'sending' a post. The post went through fine, but I noticed the familiar 'memcache could not connect' message, so I grabbed a screen shot to show it to you. This happened when sending a new post on the Kitty & Cocoa thread in Pets: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1151447/

I tried to send you this via the Contact Us link as requested; however, that method did not provide a means for me to attach the screen shot. Thus I came over here to send it. Again, this 'bug' did not cause a problem for me. My post went through fine. I'm just calling it to your attention because it contains the memcache error message.

TaliaRose,

Thank you for your prompt response. In this case, there truly was NO inconvenience for me at all. My post went through quickly and w/o any problems. As you can see from the screen shot, it even indicates that the operation was successful. I just noticed the "memcache could not connect" message on the screen and thought I would show it to you in case it might be helpful.

Thanks again.

Bumping this up because I just had the same thing happen a few minutes ago, and a couple times over the last week or so. Nothing seems to go wrong, but that message appears.

Thanks - we'll pass it along!

I've had it happen many times. I didn't know what it meant (still don't) so I continued on my merry way with out a problem.
