Congratulation Nanny. Love the pic with the Red-bellied WP.
Teddy, so great to hear, your new feeder is being used by the woodpecker. I'm sure the Chickadee will soon find it. it doesn't usually take very long, before they do.
Linth so nice to see all the nice variety you get. Thanks for your comment on the Bunting and Redpoll and that goes for everyone else who did too.

When should I get the no-melt suet cakes? Is it still cold enough that the other won't go bad? Since the snow is mostly gone, there are not many birds around now.

Marlton, NJ

When it gets around 80 and above.

Cute one burn!

Congrats nanny!

Resins was finally able to ID my second duck as a drake Gadwall, which is another new one for me! It helped when I found this better shot.

Fantastic group shot Burd!!

Margaret, your Galah is beautiful!

Cold and raining here right now. So won't be going out today to look for birds.

Lakeview, OH

I have not had birds to take pictures of, since the snow melted and its warmed up, they seem to have vanished. The Chickadees and Nuthatches have been around but so far not touched the new feeder. I took a walk yesterday and did not see any shots worth taking, I guess they have all left me. Gonna keep watching though.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

A lucky shot at Mitch arriving to the feeder this morning. He's really shy, having seen me it has yet grabbed a bite.

Any advice on how to coax wp to the suet feeder? It is spitting snow here, one web page I went to said that you could put a bit of suet on top of the feeder to coax them.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Great photos everyone. I've gotten way behind again, but I'm enjoying every one of them.

It's pretty rare for us to have so much snow here, but this juvie Bald Eagle didn't seem to be minding it at all.

Here's a Mourning Dove and House Finch.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I've been watching this yellow-orange variant House Finch. It's eating more buds on the trees than red berries.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

This Northern Flicker was enjoying the berries.

Garry, great Bald Eagle Shot. Love your Galah Margaret, Duc and Burd, wonderful shots!!! Love those various Swans, and the Finch variant is lovely!

Marlton, NJ

I agree, great shots guys!

Duc, Love that Northern Flicker and Junco.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Wow , so many great shots, enjoyed everyone of them.
There is so many Redpolls constantly on the move, so it's hard to spot an Hoary among the crowd. But did manage to get one by itself today, under cloudy condition of course.

So any of you can spot "waldo" the Hoary in this bunch. He's in there. There's also a pine Sisken in the mix.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Beautiful shots duc...loving the flicker!

I'm with pelle...YAY HOARY!!!!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

So sweet those Redpolls, love the flock just chowing down. Burn.

3 Canadian Geese lost there way ... this is north (side of the house), but not Northbound. lol These will probably wind up being some of our year-round residents.

Norman, OK

Cold front blowing through. Temp is 36 and strong north winds. The finches are getting a ride on the seed tray.

Lily, The past few days the resident Canadas around here are pairing up and squabbling over territory around the ponds.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hah! Red, I can almost 'picture' the finches swinging back and forth in the wind. :)
Speaking of pairing up here are a Mallards couple and their friends Pekin Ducks.

Great pictures everyone. Birds are very pretty. Unlike mine. Here's a really laid-back Turkey Vulture.

Here's another one of the Turkey Vulture. He just sat for a long time. I've never seen one do that before. He seemed to be looking for something.
