You need to click "visit us online at hort magazine" on the right, Paul. It takes you to a new window.

The new window opens, but as Paulgrow says, all you get is the first two paragraphs. Clicking on "continue to read" the rest of the article does nothing.

Welp, here's another thought, too.

Why not have the link to Hort Mag open in another window/tab? What is happening is people are being taken OUT of DG completely. Once at Hort Mag to finish reading the article you have to click within their site, taking you to numerous other pages on their site, plus the article continues to entice you to other articles/pitches on their site, none go back to DG.

I can easily see people leaving DG for extended periods and not finding their way back easily. If the link (from the Hort Mag DG article page) opened in another window then DGers would still be linked to DG and could more easily close out Hort Mag or other link they lead you to and still be here.

Wouldn't that be better to see people come to DG and stay, rather than be led away? I'd hate to see DG shoot itself in the foot.

Just a thought....

Absolutely, Shoe! I think ANY link that takes one away from DG should open in a new window. It should be SOP.
