Will May ever come? DH went to go skiing, didn't last long, bitter cold and windy today after a glorious day yesterday.

Pirl I would love a DL that late. Patti

Breathtaking, Patti.

Some years the deer eat the November buds. It's easy to despise deer.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Dang, they even know what month it is?!!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Pirl, I had to move all my DL's to inside the deer fence about 6 years ago, when the deer suddenly, after ignoring them for years, decided they loved them too. Each spring I find a few more little DL's still trying to grow in those old areas and dig them up and move them behind the fence. I wonder what that has been safe up until now, will get chomped next by the deer. They just better not touch my Narcissus or I will get out a gun. Patti

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

That's one thing they don't touch here. If you get the urge to use that gun just come on down!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I ventured out as far as I could go. I could see tracks between the deck and the woodpi;e ,someplace they have never been. Bird feeder raid I think. Deer feumits in the fountain area and they ate some of the Tree Peony.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Almost forgot my photo. This is the TP they munched. Hope I see blooms this year. Its a new plant and only had 1 bloom last year. Buds this year are bery low on the stem. I hope they arent graft blooms.
