Love your Mocking bird shot Hack!!

I am loving all the hawks shots and the shrike!! I was at my in-laws today and saw their neighborhood Sharp-shinned right out their back window! Wish I would have had the camera with me! Saw several red-tailed on the way over and conming back home. I walos saw my first ever coyote this morning!!! It was sooo beautiful! I have heard lots of them but never seen one before.

Beautiful Blue Bird too Red!

That's a great shot Gardenpom!

Nanny, so know what you mean about not having a camera with you at all times. Those birds are everywhere! Love the chickadee with your starling.

Hack, dang you see a lot of birds! Love that purple finch! Forgot to congratulate you on your lifer! That's awesome.

Lily_Love, glad your RB is back. That first pic though looks like a flicker to me? I guess it's a trick of the shadows. It seems to have a bib like a flicker and the tail looks flicker-like.

Snow buntings! Love 'em!

Norman, OK

The YB Sapsucker is visiting several times daily. So is a Myrtle Warbler who also drinks sap from her drillings. Still not crazy about the holes in my young Live Oak. Anyone know about the damage this causes?

A vein of GF's on my study steps. I had more grain out there than I thought after the snow melted. Oh well, it will be eaten up soon.

Here you go, Red.

Thanks for the info. I have some spray on wound dressing that is sticky and I have used it on another tree to discourage a sapsucker. As much as I enjoy the bird, I don't want to damage a tree that cost me $900!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Red, Great pic of your YBSS...Wow! There are lots of holes in your young oak...yikes! He's been busy. Hope your tree will be ok :)

Nanny, Cute pics...love Chickadees! I still have yet to see one other than in a pic :)

Not much new here lately...almost boring...
So here's a pic from back in September...

That is QUITE the finch party.

Red, there's no reason why that sapsucker can't enjoy a different, more mature tree. I'd get the hardware cloth out!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Lily, I'm glad to see your wps are staying close. That water sure looks pretty as a background.

Hack, I believe you have outnumbered me on birds this time! Whatever you're doing, keep up the good work. The pictures are wonderful!!

Nanny, cute shot of your little dee and starling.

Red, that sapsucker is gorgeous. Cute little finches too!

SusanLouise, love your finch party shot!!

One of my House Finches the orange-variant seems to be starting to get red.

And my last one tonight is a snap of my "newest" bird - the male Purple Finch, I've seen lots of females. This is the same guy I say the other day. I can tell for the little darkened area on the right side of his chest. Not visible in this photo, though.

Bye,
Hack

Hack great photos of your birds. Do you have your peanut butter log out too? I noticed your warbler enjoying the peanuts. My yellow-rumped warblers prefer the peanut butter and I was wondering if your little pine warbler did also or is it partial to the peanuts?

Here's one of my Yellow-rumped Warblers (Audubon's).

Welcome Joeyramone, yes he's handsome. :) Lovely pics. everyone. Hack, wishing me a Kinglet down here, I've yet seen one. Also I'm glad you've gotten a good pic. of the BH Nuthatch in which I wasn't able to get a pic. of.
Awww, Duc, you must be the first to see those Tree Swallows for the season! I don't think I've seen a Redbreasted Nuthatch here, only the Whitebreasted ones. Some of us has seen Juncos come to suet feeder? I've not seen mine ventured out that far, but this winter I've seen some Sparrows came up that high to feed on the grains feeder. My Housefinches occassionally will try the suet, but their mainstay would be seeds of all kind.

Redheaded Woodpecker's all time favorite? Shelled peanut!

Great pictures everyone. Hack you sure have a great variety of birds at your house! Elphaba, love the Grackle having fun with its food. They are annoying critters, but so pretty.
