I'll start off with a Mockingbird I caught in flight, landing on a suet feeder.

I love seeing birds in flight.Nice Hack
My last one for now.
Boy, was I surprised to see this Robin overhead. I thought it was too early for them.
But I understand that the groundhog saw its shadow, so maybe Spring is just around the corner.
And I've discovered that using jpegs allows for much faster up-loading. So, it'll be jpegs for me from now own.
Bye

Beautiful photos on the last thread everyone!
Hack, thanks for the new start. Great wingspread on the mocker. Love that red-bellied.
I just heard there's a large fire in Perth, Australia. I hope and pray Margaret and our other members are safe.
This Red-tailed Hawk has been pestering my birds on and off for several days now.
Great photos Hack & duc.
A small flock of Tree Swallows arrived two days ago and kept flying by hubby and me as we put up their houses on our upper deck. This one stopped on a branch not 5 ft. from me and preened while I snapped pictures. It's obvious to me these birds are returning where they nested in previous years.
Last year these birds arrived on Jan. 28th so they were just a few days later this year.
You're lucky to have a Purple Finch in the yard, Hack. I've never had a male at my feeders.
Like the RT, duc. I'm amazed at how different the ones around here look. Mostly white breasts with little or no trace of a belly band. The pair that hangs around here have been flying around together and vocalizing. Guess it's that time of year.
Daddy waiting for the Worm Man to bring out breakfast.
Awwww, daddy sure is beautiful. Poor little guy needs an umbrella.
Beautiful start Hack!
Duc, what an amazing variety you get. Great pics.
This is the first decent picture that I've ever gotten of an American Kestrel. I was a bad dog mom to get it though. My dog was intent on barking at another dog. I yanked him so hard in the direction of the kestrel that I flipped my poor geriatric dog on his back. The other dog moms in the park gave me very sour looks that I totally deserved! Dont' worry though. He seems fine.
Beautiful shot of the Kestrel, Elphaba. Lovely shot of the Swallow, duc. Great shot of the Crow. I only see them high in the air. Super start, Hack.
Duc, do you give your Tree Swallows some crushed egg shells? My sister had spread some on the ground, around her flower bed, to deter the slugs, and notice the Tree Swallows were coming in to eat them. Extra calcium for them. I'm going to spread some around, in the Spring for them.
Thanks for the new thread Hack, congrats on your first shot of the male Purple Finch, they are pretty birds. I was surprise, to have seen a Robin too, this Winter. Especially with our temp. I have heard though, that some don't migrate, if there is abundant of food for them.
I desperately want to see one of those little Bluebird. They are suppose to be around, just haven't seen one yet.
Even if the dogs were misbehaving Elphaba, you took some pretty great shots of the Kestrel, Shrike, and Hawk . Don't always see all of them in one day.
some other shots of the Snow Bunting.
Elphaba, awesome shots of the kestrel and the shrike! Actually, I like my dogs out on the deck with me when there's an eagle or hawk. Their barking most times appears to cause the raptors to turn around and fly back past us.
Burn, thanks for the reminder. I'd read about the egg shells and had forgotten about this. Love the beautiful buntings. They sure look beautiful with the snow.
Those Snow Buntings are darling, burn.
Thank you Hack for the new thread. It's nice to have a lifer--the Purple finch, happy for you. I'm glad the RTH didn't come down to feed, and Duc and Alphy hope yours stay away as well, glad your dog's bark would steer them raptors to a different direction, Duc. Awww, Red, Love, love those Snow Buntings. I would never seen them around here.
Well, I was glad to see my Redheaded wp returned to the grains feeder, but this is my Kodak Easyshare; thus the pic. isn't as clear. I saw my Rebellied Redbellied wps every so often, but not today.

Not much action for pictures here today. So, I will just enjoy the wonderful shots you folks are providing. Too many to comment on individually, but I am glad I have nothing to post because your pictures are all fantastic.
