Garden Photos one per day 2011 #2
I am cutting down on my coleus too Victor
I'll be MIA for a few days.
The computer guy is comming to put a bigger hard drive in. 10:00 is the last intil maybe Friday.
I had no idea I was so attached to it.
I have quite a few in the house and am taking cuttings. I meant ordering new ones. I am putting more perennials into the containers.
Its just a change of "look"
Comp came with 40G in June and I am down to 3 G's. Files of paintings and the garden have used up a ton.
I have the garden and doc. files on a Sandisc but it didnt free up enough space to make that much diff.
Programs are a huge part.
I removed a few I wasnt using but am warie of removing anymore because I dont know what their function is and dont want to do something drastic and permanent.
sounds like it's time for portable hard drives
48 days til spring
I miss the sound of bees and song birds.
The first that really makes my heart melt are the Song Sparrows.
I know Robins are March but there is nothing like one of those early warm days in April when I can hear them in the hedges onmy walk.
victor that is what containers are for!
Fabulous picture Victor.
I just uncorked my new tube of cobalt and cobalt violet.
Cheers!
maybe some sap green too.
And the eye of a newt?
he he he he My computer is going to the hospital for a new hard drive in less than an hour.

jm's
Bill: That could happen
Jo - that looked like a Seuss rhyme!
Bill, were you referring to me or Jo?
I miss bee's, Jen misses butterflies and I think Bill misses JM's.
I miss bikinis.
you - plant them in containers - have to say i kinda like pulling into the garage and seeing 10 or so jm's in pots to greet me.
I hoard Splenda.
Pots are a pain. Watering and moving. And I don't have enough room on the garage.
Pots are a pain. I've become so bad that the big pots stay outside all year. It's too much of a hassle for me. You young people have it easier!
large ones stay outside - smaller ones i bring in with a two wheeler - not that big of a deal all i do is protect that porcellien and strap them tight.
Very water intensive.
not in the winter - i water once a week if it is not raining it take 7 minutes and 33 seconds.
Meant summer, of course. Nice.
The Beech is GORGEOUS
Love the patio, Ronnie
Beautiful beech, wha. Gorgeous area for your potted plants, Ronnie, and lovely plants as well. Cat - how old is your beauty? If it's established I'd hope it would survive.
There's a house nearby with that beech next to a red JM that is a near-perfect color match.
Oh, great photos! Thanks for the positive ID, Pixie.....Memory, love that camellia....that's where tea comes from...
you know you can always pick up some coleus locally in Denville Victor
;)
Beautiful blue Victor!
Love the combo Bill, never realized how vivd the colors are on that beech.
Ronnie, I want to come sit on yout Lanai and drink pearl harbors!!! ^_^
Yank, thats really neat looking, I hope it survives for you.
