I know they kept my hometown safe growing up... now that they are not as strong.. the town went downhill... I would rather have the town I grew up with... that's why I moved
Thats Entertainment Pt # 7
I think thats why the authorities kept blinders on because they knew there was a benefit to letting the mafia handle their own affairs.
People don't realize how much organized crime affects all of us. They are responsible for higher prices in almost everything, drug distribution, guns, gambling, etc. They don't just mess with each other, as is the commonly held belief. They are domestic terrorists.
I watched an old movie yesterday that I hadn't seen in about 20 years.....
Doctor Zhivago .
ABSOLUTLY.The patronage( no show ) jobs alone add to the cost of construction.
Omar Sharif went on to be a competetive card player.
He hasnt aged well.
When I think of him I'm reminded of Marcello Mastroianni, one of my favorite actors.
I thought he was dead but just read about him getting involved in events in Egypt this AM.
WC :Mine too, there are so many from the 70's that I have forgotten.
Did he do anything with Cathrine Deneuve ?
I remember her from that decade.
I saw that on google

'A slightly pregnant man in 1977', I used to watch some of his movies on the PBS channel too, they were in Italian with subtitles and they were great!

Edit: dropped an 'n' (lol)

I used to wear it. Its been in circulation for decades.
You mean women keep recycling it?!!
Something like that.It has outlasted any other brand I think.
On another note:
Would we really miss Two and a half Men?
I say drop Charlie Sheene and bring on the next comedy in the pipe.
Its really wearing to see him in and out of rehabs.
Never watched his show and never would. Don't watch any sitcoms - they are all horrible. Nothing like the old days.
I dont watch them either. I dont even rent any of the series that air late at night.
Rehab sucesses being as small as they are you would thingk the network would cut their losses and leave him in the dust.

I used to love Whitney Houston years ago when she was in her prime but she has abused drugs and her voice has suffered. Her last 3 or 4 attempts at singing got her nothing but severe criticism from the critics and to be honest she was terrible. Today I came across a video of her siging a duet with a strong christian vocalist and was pleasantly surprised. Maybe she just needed to be singing in the right venus for the right reasons? What ever, seems to me after watching this video she should of sung to God along time ago. :))

Yes, BA, we women are entitled to some eye candy. That's all Kutcher is, I'm afraid. As Victor said, ziltch talent.
I've been wanting to watch District 9. Glad to hear it was good.
Glad I'm not the only one here who doesn't like seeing the mafia glorified. The Italians don't have the market cornered, though. The Russians have a mafia, the Mexicans do, etc., etc. I believe the Irish do, too.
Although I've watched Two and a Half Men and got some good laughs out of it, it was never a favorite, and I would not miss it. I love Seinfeld.

Got that right
I love My Fair Lady.

DW loves it, it was her choice last night, we saw the first half until the movie's 'intermission', we're watching the 2nd half tonight. I've come to like musicals more and more over time, almost seems they get better as they age.
I absolutely love musicals. Some of my favorites are "Carousel", "South Pacific", "Oklahoma" and of course "The Sound Of Music". I like some newer ones as well like "Hair Spray". Dream Girls was on TV the other night and I watched part of it. I found that one rather depressing.
I loved Hair Spray, and also love West Side Story and Mama Mia and Camelot. Now you've got me wanting to listen to the soundtracks. I just put in West Side Story.

When my sis lived in MD there was a hotel we always stayed at that had a dinner theater, saw Bye Bye Birdie and for the life of me can't remember the other ones...sheesh...
Saw West Side Story at an open air theater. Saw Oklahoma at our old High School
Oh, Bye Bye Birdie is another one I liked.

The John Bobbit story?? ^_^
LOL!
This could be the lead song in "The John Bobbit Story"...

Turner Classic Movie chanel is having a month of Oscar winning films. I watch at least 2 per day.
Netflix delivered "Fringe" What a bore,or I am just not into scyfi.
We are having Verizon Fios installed in two weeks. Right now we have the bottom of the line cable TV. I'm looking forward to getting all those extra channels, especially the movie channels.
I am very happy with Fios, though I don't get any premium channels.
Verizon offered us an excellent deal we couldn't refuse. LOL. Went mid level on TV and internet. Lots of movie channels free for the first 12 months. Went into a local Verizon store and got a big discount for doing that. It's all good.
Waiting for FIOS to be available in our township, they are still fighting with them over installation fees
FIOS still 2 or 3 years away here.
I used to like Jake in 2 1/2 men when he was young, had some really funny lines. Not so much anymore.
