Newbie Seed Starter - Last year failed!

Everett, WA(Zone 8a)

I sometimes sprinkle small seeds onto a clean dry white saucer. I shake to spread them apart so I can pick up one at a time with a fingertip.

One person suggested moistening a pencil point, for precision pickup and placement.

Thats how I do it if I want perfect placement, like 1 or 2 seeds per cell, or if I'm picking out smallish seeds that are sprouting in paper towels. I've also also wet the tip of small wooden skewers or toothpicks, works the same way. The seed clings to it and it's easy to put it where you want it.
