Garden Photo's, combo's, brainstorming NO LIMIT ^_^

This thread is for Ge, post away my Dear as many as you'd like, no restrictions. :)
I thought this was a good place to throw some idea's out .....I need some nice combo's .
This is one I experimented with..... daylily 'Pandora's Box' which is an early bloomer and paired it with 'Burgundy iceberg' rose.

And this one is 2 J.I.'s I thought might look good together, now i'm waiting for them to fill out. ^_^

Now I need something to pair with this one.....

I know what you mean about JI's mine are 3 years old and while some were huge clumps, most were bought from Pollyk and Dee.

Nothing is illegal, anything goes within DG's guidelines of course! LOL


Love the snaps! 'Angel Face' Rose needs a companion too if she lived.......some say it's hardy to 5 and some say z6. We shall see.

I had been using my Desktop folder and posting 1 photo per day but the agony over too many sweet pix was too much.

Oh, I just got the white anemone at Bills RU, I hope mine look like that!!!!

They will but a cautionary note.
Deadhead often. They spread like rabbits and cant be weeded out of Astilbes and heucheras.
I am not steady enough to paint with Roundup.

I've kept my pink one fairly tame with weed mats and a stone boarder.

Sylvestrys is a May bloomer here.

How about these with Rose Angel Face. Fun to think about, but I don't know when it blooms for you. These are all early to mid July blooms for me. Patti

Ge, yes the pink blooms in the fall.....but not sure about the white one I got at the RU.

Celeste, I gave you Honorine Jobert at Bill's RU and it is a tall fall bloomer, and will spread, but it's gorgeous!

So here's the pink that blooms in the fall, i think it will be lovely blooming w/the white.

I love their little green button centers, If the one you have didn't survive, I can send you more.

Me too Deb, the green stands out against the other colors. Thank you for the offer....they are tough little devils so im hoping it survuved.

Love those anemones. I only have 1 variety.
I also have Blandas that cheer the garden in May The Blandas grow here but I cant find a pix.

Here's the Blanda. It comes mixed with Pinks and Whites

pixie62560, I planted the 3 little plants that I got from from Bluestone in 2008 in 3 different in places and it has grown nicely in all. I think it is more like 18" tall in our garden. It is a pretty silvery shell pink. Patti

I'm awful with combos! Hence my gardens have a reckless, crazy look to them.....hard to believe my son is a landscape architect.....the poolside garden he designed for his FIL is just gorgeous, everything looks so nice together. And the load of plants he took from my gardens, he just sort of stuck in the ground, & it looks great.....I need help, so keep posting combos!
