You are so smart. I am going to right that down in my book of necessary info .
Well, do you suppose we are going to get our own Cross Stitch forum? What more do we have to do?

I'd love to see a cross stitch forum as well! It's a craft I've neglected for too many years, have at least two projects sitting waiting for attention.

Hey Jan how is your pattern coming along? Have you done any more with it????

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh... I've been so bad. I haven't worked on it at all for quite awhile. I have been working on my punch needle work like crazy. If you go to my blog you can see what I have been up to. I am also trying my hand at rug hook, not latch hook.

I'm off soon to a quilt meeting to sew on a BOM soon but I will check out both sites when I return. Just wanted to tell you that my Mom and my Grandmother were both traditional rug hookers!!!! I have a rug my grandmother made in 1943 during WWII for which she cut every strip of wool by hand!!!! The rug is about 7' X 10'....My Mom used to dye all her own wool to get the colors she wanted. She won several blue ribbons for her work. I do so many kinds of handwork but just could not get interested in the hooking.... Isn't it funny how that goes???

OMG, I would love to see a picture of that rug. How fortunate for you. The little one I am working on is my first and the next ones will be made of wool. I just wanted to get the hang of it. The one I am working on is made from a painting done by a 10 year old little girl that I saw on her mothers blog. I got permission to use it and then I am going to send it to her when it is done. I think I am just going to make it into a pillow or frame it.
I guess I will be on the look out now for old wool coats or skirts or what ever I can find to cut up and use. I can buy it all ready cut but that would get real spendy fast.
