i only put down a covering now - i've noticed in some places it is a few inches deep and i've been raking it out and using it for a base on new beds

WOW Bill thats a nice collection and planting.
So many blooms.
Great plant and gorgeous photo, Victor.
Love Marilyn's peony and the angle of the shot, Louise's clem's and Bill's JM, too.
Sweet
Gorgeous
I'm impressed! What great photos...love the red & green in Bill's photo, the wonderful color combo in Jo's, Weeze's awesome display of clems....I'm drooling! Victor, I've never tried a small flowered clem, but it looks rather nice. The blues & yellows in everyone's photos are great together, & I love the deep red of Ronnie's sweet peas. I'll add a purple snail vine...
Thanks Pirl...I try my best to get the aperture set right but mostly it's hit or miss with me!
Love the purple on that Iris Jen!
I agree tha blue gets a bad rap...one of my favorite morning glory colors♥
Have the ability to do some major lurking here today...all of today's pics are absolutely gorgeous! They made my frozen little heart sing! ^_^

I usually shoot flowers on aperture priority. Sometimes fully manual.
I like manual
Main consideration is depth of field, so AP is fine for most shots. If light is tricky or wind is a factor, I will sometimes go manual, or vary the ISO or EV.
That is pretty, Debi! Hi, Phoebe....nice to hear from you!
love that shot Debi
Great shot, Deb!
Very nice Debi!
thanks everyone, that isn't a tulip I planted and it's the only one in the garden, but it's pretty
