Male Painted Bunting hiding.

I moved the Bunting feeders to the corner of the yard. The Buntings seem to feel safer there, but it's not as good a location for taking photographs.

Male Painted is on the opposite side of the feeder here (as usual).

Lucky you, GP. You've got birds with all the colours of the Rainbow Lorikeets, without any of the noise and mischief.

Less this year than usual. Most I have seen at one time is around 10. The come and go all day.

In the last two days activity has slowed down a bit, I think some of the Buntings may have already headed North.

They are so beautiful and the Indigos are such sweet birds. I sure hope to see many of them this year and I am still hoping for a Painted. I can't imagine
having as many as you get GP!
