Helen, Jacke & Debra - more beautiful treats - so very welcome with our early winter - thank you

ps - Debra, on this one - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8273117 - the seeds were labeled China Pink, but the offspring seem to be something else - does anyone know or shall we call this one pink blizzard?

Nice blooms Jackie and Debra!

My Blue swirl that also doesn't come true from seed. My guess is that it's probably a cross from Star of India.

Gorgeous blooms Debra, esp the split Mauve Splash, so pretty.

Beautiful blooms you shared too Helena. Partial to your blue and pinks, absolutely
love them

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

aha! Now I know where that blue with the white tip came from. ;)

This one from Helenas NOID packet was awesome this past year.

Found the blue one I see in Helenas, post, but not quite the same hmm.. maybe this one was from danys mix?

Debra, I think that pink and purple star came from my mix of these, the pink and star were on the lower vines.
I think your blooms were very pretty!!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas!!

Your pretty blue bloom looks similar to Becky's LYK, I think.

I had a seedling that was probably a cross from rose silk & maybe Pink Porcelain in late fall that produced a few blooms like this but only a few seeds and those I'm not sure if they'll germinate, crosseing fingers.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Very pretty Helena and Debra.

Y'all are sure making me drool and pine for Spring! How quickly I forget how gorgeous all the blooms were this past year! I've been bad about keeping my photos organized, so it's a chore to find them. I took way too many photos this past year! LOL! Keep those photos coming ! I am sure enjoying them. It's cold and brown here. (sigh) So much for tropical Florida temps! LOL!

A good pic of pandy this past summer. Look past the back fence and you'll see Goldie, DH's horse with her head stuck in the greenhouse being nosy. lol

Jackie - Those pandies are gorgeous! That's really funny about Daisy! I'd have never noticed the horse if you hadn't said something. Too funny!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

She's very funny Becky. I knew some of you would get a kick out of this photo.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful pandies Jackie and I bet Daisy is very smart!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Those are beautiful, the horse too! :)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena and Pixie

(Zone 7a)

am admiring the pandies and Goldie, too. It must be fun traveling with a sentient being like a horse, through horse-friendly country. Would your dh ever consider taking some scenic pics for us?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

That would be very cool... I just love Morning Glorys and horses.. both. Yours are a delight to view, Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra and Karen. Karen. DH can't ride her, she throws him.
It was expensive, even with insurance, water on the knee, sprung wrists, chiropractor.
Holy Moly. After she threw him the 1st time, he had always heard you get back in
the saddle, so he did and she promptly threw him again, lol

(Zone 7a)

Jackie, your DH sounds a little like mine. There comes a moment in time as to whether to go forward in spite of common sense, or not. With DH, we had been 'adopted' by two pooches, Max & Jax, who belonged to the owner of a house at the head of a trail we liked to hike on. Max & Jax accompanied us on every walk we took there, and one winter day, as Jax followed Max across an icy surfaced pond, he fell through. Did my DH worry about falling through the ice, too? No he didn't - he went after Jax and pulled him back up out of that hole in the ice and got him to a nearby shore. I think we all would have been all right if the ice had broken further - it was a small, shallow pool and I was stretched prone acrosss the ice with a long pole for DH to grab in case. (But I was nervous about the current and temps and did fuss at DH)

With regard to those cross roads in time, I know folks in this group will continue making the courageous choices dictated by their inner conscience - so I wish everyone speedy recuperations and happy outcomes (however different from what may have been hoped for) during the coming New Year.

(sounds like Max & Goldie have a few things in common)

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jackie - LOL! Sounds like something my dh would do! LOL! I hope you don't mind me laughing about it ... I am sure that it wasn't one bit funny at the time or during your dh's recovery, not to mention the doctor bills. Ugh!

Karen - At least your dh had you there with a pole just in case ... I love animals, so I might have done the same stupid thing and gone out there to rescue that dog too. If it was my dog ... DEFINITELY! She's my baby! LOL!

I definitely have more common sense than my dh though ... He's a great guy, but sometimes I wonder what the heck he is thinking! He's pretty clueless at times! LOL!

Wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year in 2011! I'm hoping it's a good year for all!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Karen and Becky, we can laugh because it was 6 yrs ago when this happened.
He recovered really fast, thank goodness. Now he has another horse, a black
Tennessee Walker who is supposedly broken, we shall see. :-)
Karen, Heart warming story re your Dh and his heartfelt decision to save the dog. I would have had to do the same thing. For those of us who love animals, we have no choice
Happy New Year everyone.

My ochracrea blooms were open this morning. Out of 4 pics, you would think I could get a decent shot but no, sorry.
