Can anyone join now, or just the former participants? I am not sure I want to join, though as I heard one person took the "lion's share" of seeds which seemed a bit unfair. Maybe, IF that person is allowed back, that person should be put at the end of the list. Does that seem a fair thing to do? Or am I butting it where I shoudn't be? If so, I will bow out...

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Lion's Share , the box is huge and slam full still so if they took the lion's share something is amiss and I don't think it was the people before me. I wish you would tell me who the person was so I could see how much bigger the box could have been.
That how rumors get started and people's feelings hurt or maybe I am reading your jest wrong. If so I am sorry.

Lavina

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Carolyn, do you have Brugs? I was reading earlier posts about someone not being familiar with Brugs. I may have more than I can handle if all of my brugs live until spring. Were you the person who did not have any Brugs?

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Eve This was never about taken alions share it is about the weight & Milage that the robin must fly & How
cost can be more then others at time . this is a very big robin & More then enough for all to share .

yes it is to late for you to get in on this one but if you would like to join us on the sn time around I will dmail you the guidelines & You just to the sign up forum . maybe you have been there i have not been there yet .
have to go set sup on back later

Anita - no I have no brugs. I haven't tried brugs yet, but have been looking at them. It looks to me like they must root and grow very easily. I would appreciate any other information on them as they are quite beautiful. Are they fragrant at all?

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

I am also someone without brugs ..... a wee bit afraid to venture into that arena yet.

But Anita, I woulf like to try a few lemon mint seeds (in a container) next year.

Mary

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Ok Mary, I can start an envie of Monarda Citroda for you. If you want to try a Brug cutting I may have enough to send a couple.

Carolyn, I can reserve one for you. They are rooting now so by the spring I may have a young plant for you.

Susie, I don't know if I posted anything about the Dahlia but I will remember you for the Victoria.

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

Anita, trust me, I not ready for a brug. But thank you for the offer.

I know who to nag when I am ready ..... YOU! LOL

And thanks for the Monarda Citroda (lemon mint) seeds.

does anyone have a bog garden? I am seriously considering in having one next year .... so I have lots of questions

hmmmm wonder if there is a bog forum

Mary:

This is the closest I found, not the same thing:

Water Gardens - Japanese Water Gardens & Ponds Forums
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/water/all/

Searching forums for "bog plants", the "Carnivorous Plants" forum seems into bogs.

you are a lot warmer than we are. The WH end up in the compost pile around late October/November around here as they will not make it through the winter. We have even tried to overwinter them inside, but it does not work.

I do know the WH is outlawed in some areas of the country....

My WH did not make it either and i am in zone 9.

Deep South, TX(Zone 9b)

I figured living as far north as you do, you wouldn't have any problem. I just thought that inspiring water gardens across the Nation that some people should know.

They are very pretty and should make a good water plant for those that can control it.
Some day I hope to have a water garden.

Dane

Athens, PA

another form of gardening that I am totally hooked on!

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Rick you may have solved a dog problem for me. I have a gingo tree and the dog has been rooting around it and his nose has swollen up.
hope everyone enjoys the swap as much as I did

Lavina

I wanted a pond so much that my grandkids and i took a big horse trough, filled it with water, plants, fish and a small fountain. it is wonderful to sit by and relax. i so envy anyone with one in the ground ! someday...........

Deep South, TX(Zone 9b)

My Mother used an old boat filled with water. It was quite unique.

Athens, PA

There is nothing like the sound of the waterfalls at night in the summer with all the windows open. And then there are all the Summer mornings on the deck by the pond with my coffee in the morning. I am already going through withdrawal.

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

Carolyn, you are so, so BAD.

Now you have me wanting a waterfall also!

Hmmmmm .... why not? I deserve it (I've been good .... I think) except for acquiring some habits my grandson not too fond of such as collecting seeds, mulching all the leaves, buying gardening materials (including lots of planters .... commanding the entire 2 car garage as totally for myself (he has the large shed behind the garage to store his stuff in addition to 1/2 my basement)

Mary

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Hey Susie! Did you get your smoke detector taken care of? Did you put in new batteries? Some city fire departments will bring out new smoke detectors and install them free of charge. On the newer detectors the batteries last 7 to 10 years and can be checked with your tv remote control.

Everett, WA(Zone 8a)
