So annoying

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is happening more and more. Sometimes after several minutes the photo will fully load but more often it does not.

Is my computer screwing up or is it a problem in PF? Thanks

Just slow load time, most likely from the size of the image perhaps? Not sure. That image is 579px × 800px so it's not that big. It loaded slow for me, kind of stalled in that same spot as you did and then continued to load.

Hi Sue!

It is just not this image though, it is happening more and more. I loaded about half in that entry a little bit ago and more than half of them would not load fully. If I reload, it usually fixes it, but why is it doing it in the first place. It never used to do this.

It probably is my mean spirited computer. I am always having some weird thing going on with it.

I have also had a problem getting the thumbnails to enlarge. I also thought it was my computer but now that I think about it, it is just a problem on Dave's.

Yeah, could be. I have had more load problems on here this past year.

Same here - for months now. Thought it was my Firefox at first but have no problem on any other site. Notifies Terry about it but she did not know of any problem. It is intermittent but happens WAY too often. Got me really disgusted during the photo contest.

With mine, one of three things happens. When I click on a thumbnail, the photo doesn't load at all, it starts loading and then goes back to blank, or it partially loads with about the top 1/3rd of the photo.

Same here.

Yep, that's about it for me.

Perhaps then it is not my most miserable computer that seems to take delight in making my life miserable!

Here is a new one that I just noticed.

See under the name Austrocylindropuntia subulata where it says "memcache could not connect." I wonder what that is about.

Means you have issues above and beyond DG photos, Kell. ^_^

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Victor, sadly that is so true. My memcache has not connected for years now. Amazing I am still allowed to be out and about.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I've gotten the "memcache could not connect" several times in PlantFiles as well... Doesn't seem to slow anything down and the page loads fine...

I am so sick today, I am thinking I just need to go to bed. Now I am seeing weird writings. LOL

Perhaps it has something to do with our name Locakelly.

Hard to read what I am referring to. Close up

LOL - maybe the kelly curse? You're seeing the code - that's weird.

Ohhh, you broke it!!

I had that 'memcache could not connect' too a few times, very odd.

I also got the "memchache could not connect" once. In my case it happened in one of the discussion forums when I tried to send a post. The post did not get sent. However, I was able to resend successfully. I reported the incident using the "contact us" link. Haven't seen it since.

Oops. Edited to fix some of my numerous typos and errors.
