I like the keen look of this White-throated Sparrow. You reckon it sees me?

Our tufted titmice, w-b nuthatches & chickadees are very busy at the feeder. I saw a robin chase a squrriel away on the ground today--cheers!

Congrats Nan on the Pic. of Belted Kingfisher. Hack, likes Pelle already stated, great job! Hah, I have missed out on the yellow stripes on Whitethroated Sparrow, it's one handsome bird!

The cold front is heading down our way from up North too Nan, our fall color is fading fast! sniff sniff. And not too many feathered friends are around. A pair of Pekin ducks passing through yesterday morning.

The Whitebreasted Nuthatch is delighted to have found the shelled peanuts I've mixed in with the wild birds seeds;

The Nuthatches' happy chatters must have stirred this Redbellied wp's curriosity. In turns, his return made my heart sings, for I've missed my R. wps and the Redheaded wp for the last few weeks...here they're.

Yes that nasty cold front is here...already have had some freezing rain/sleet this morning. Almost noon and it is only 31 degrees.

Glad your woodpeckers are back Lily!

hey nanny_56, stop that bad talk! It is barely above freezing here,I think I may have seen a errant snowflake or two. It is supposed to rain here, but I think it might be a mixture of rain and snow. I don't want to see it but I can't stop it from coming, have not seen too many feathered friends today, a couple of squirrels on the ledge eating the sunflower seeds I put up there, but not much else. Guess no one is hungry enough to brave the cold and eat.

Lily I sure envy you the Red-headed Woodpeckers!
