Last for now - dawn redwood about to drop its needles.

Nice Victor. You do have lots of color out there still. Beautiful foliage from your garden as usual. The DR is so interesting. Do the needles drop all at once or do they take a while to all fall over time?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Pat. They drop pretty much at once. However, the transition from the normal gold color to a wheat and then brown takes some time. Very pretty during that transition.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

very nice

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

very nice color victor

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Gorgeous Victor! I have brown and mush. LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Thanks. I'll try for more pics if the sun makes an appearance.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Great pics from DC on the previous thread, Jen. Love the first two best.

Bill, love the color on the beauty berries and the bark on Sangu Kaku.

Great pics from your place, Victor. Especially liked the shot of the Dawn redwood framed be the blue spruce behind it.

I've seen pockets of color here and there. Some of the Norway maples are still good looking, as are Bradford pears and some kind of cherry cultivar, can't think of the name. Will go out in a bit and see if there's anything worth photographing in my yard.

It's not that bad and the pond behind it draws your eyes there.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

All those trees are getting bigger, may not be able to see the pond after awhile...there are fountains that run spring to fall also but they moved them farther right so now we can't see them from the house.

Very pretty pics and view I think Jen. You still have some life down there from the looks of it. Up here it is the dormant brown if I didn't know better kinda dead look. Oh well makes spring look that much greener doesn't it. Are we counting down yet?

Thomaston, CT

I'm sure JoAnn is! Thanks, all, for sharing.....the reds of the JMs are really nice.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Love the geraniums, Bill! Some of mine have nice colors, others, not so much.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yup same here marilyn - not sure if it is sun related or not - the ones on the "top" of my property by the front door do better than those in the backyard.

Thomaston, CT

May just be the variety....saw some wild ones on the trail today that were very red.
