Why are none of my 'Threads' NEW

Dave can you tell me why when I post a thread none of them say 'New? Yes' They all say 'New? NO?' Even though I am posting a completely NEW, NEVER before posted thread. What gives?

because after you post it, it's not new to you! It's new to me, and my post will make it new to you again.

Yet, if you are using the 'Watch this thread' feature, it will show up as a new posting in your email!
