On the contrary, compost those guts or put them in a hole in your garden. It'll make great fertilizer. Remember the Indians buried a fish with every corn seed they planted. It doesn't matter that it's not sporting. Like a farmer raising beef cows, you're raising prime flower fed deer. Imagine how that will smell frying in the pan. You'll have to plan some sort of Ninja attack with night goggles and a katana sword.
Just kidding, but sometimes I think it might be worth trying.

LOL! It is very tempting! I keep asking the neighbor kids if they want to shoot the deer in our yard, but so far they haven't wanted to. They archery hunt too every year, but they like going out and actually hunting them, lol! Heck, I even told them that I would load up anything they killed and haul it out of town and gut it out for them, but they still don't want to. Darn kids nowadays, anyway. :-)
I tried planting fish with all my new plants and perennials, but the neighbor's dogs liked the smell, apparently, and dug up and shredded absolutely everything trying to get to the dead fish. Wonder how the Indians kept their dogs out of their corn? Or maybe that's why we hear they ate dogs? Just kidding, but that is one of the tales in our part of the country with some of the tribes from around here. I was furious with the neighbors, but still wouldn't kill their dogs, let alone eat them. Yuck!! Besides, it's not the dogs fault, but the neighbors! Maybe I should have threatened the neighbors with eating them, rofl!!

On the garlic, for the last couple of years, I didn't have any garlic to plant in with my flowers and such, as that's only available in the fall, so I used onions instead. Had plenty of onion sets, so put a few in with all my beds. Just left them to grow and pulled off the seed pods, so they didn't reseed, but even left them in over winter. For the most part, they will start growing again, come spring. But they seemed to have worked with the deer also. Haven't had them eating any roses lately, so it might be worth a try for you also.
