North Central Texas Fall RU What is this Plant??

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Don't know what the banana root looks like, but Ken will recognize it.
No I am not organized, but if I don't work from a list here lately, I don't get anything done! I am easily distracted by other "need to and want to" projects.

no--i was in your potting shed--you are wonderfully organized!

I've been transplanting all week in order to make room for the stuff I got as well as to put plants in more appropriate places. I'm currently relocating daylilies. Thankfully they're easy to move.

Finally took pictures, downloaded, and may have figured out how to apply. Anyone know what this may be. I'm sure I was told, but I think I experienced "overload" that day. Help please. Thanks!

Here's another -- there's a total of 5. . .This one is in a red drinking cup. Wondering if it may be frostweed, but the leaves are not at rough or as large as the one labled frostweed.

Here's # 3. . . thinking this looks like crape mrytle, but I was almost positive I managed to get home without any of those ???

#4 -- there are very small (think non-existant) leaves on this one. And it appears that a bud(?) is trying to show itself. Help appreciated.

Last one! This has two leaves. The larger hiding the smaller. Tree? Shrub? Perinnial??

I sure do appreciate all help. Thanks!

#1 & #3 are from Kenboy. I recognize the tags! LOL

Can't help with the others, but the last one looks like some kind of tree.

Wichita Falls, TX

This info helps -- if 1 and 3 are from kenboy, so is 5. Then #3 must be crape mrytle (red, for my dad), #5 also from kenboy -- must be redbud. Getting closer to answers and where to plant.

Thanks for the Mock Orange -- full sun and close enough to the patio to enjoy aroma, right? How big should I plan on it getting? Thanks Josephine!

i'm still wondering if my plant is bannana or canna --so did ANYONE bring any banana plants at all?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Mock orange can have some shade, it can get 10 or 12 feet tall, but you can keep it smaller by pruning in the spring right after flowering, it blooms on the previous year's growth.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

Linda Ken brought some bananas and someone else brought some canna I think. Do you have a picture?

Plano, TX

thanks catz--i will ask ken if he gave me a banana

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

I do not remember who all I gave Bananas too but I did bring 2 different type, Ornada and Oranaco.

gretagreenthumb, you are right on #3 and 5, # 1 is an American Beautyberry.

frostweed, If you get more Mock Orange that have a fragrance, I would like to have one, ours is beautiful but no fragrance. There is one in Hawkins in full sun and no special treatment and looks great every year. Ours is in heavy shade and does great also. Love this plant.

I will try to root some for you Ken, they don't root easy, so it may be a while.
Josephine.
