Coming from here:

This is the place to share what you are doing - large or small, garden-related or not.
What are you working on?? Part 2
Like the look of your bed enlargement project Jen. Have you selected plants yet?
Good luck planting Victor. Hope everything arrives in good condition. Thanks for new thread too.
Bill maybe you could go give Victor a hand. I am done for this year. All this wet chilly weather has got me out of garden mode and into planning for next season.
Nice floor selections all around. They will be easier to keep up. Could use a new kitchen floor here soon.
In relation to picking a decorative tree, I may bite the bullet even with the darn winter moth catepillars and try a crabapple. Any good suggestions on that front?
Still stuck waiting for my pellet stove guy to give it a good cleaning. Planting might wait until tomorrow.
get out and dig the holes while you wait :)
You don't clean your own pellet stove?
I needed to make room for all the plants I received at the RU so I needed to move some around.
Not the normal cleaning, Jen. Of course I do that. They take the whole thing apart, lubricate, etc.
Yeah and......can't do that yourself???
jen he has a service cut his lawn..................:)
Probably could, but that's why I have 'people'. ^_^
^_^
It's the same guy I bought the stove from and he's a very nice guy. He's here now.
Probably a good idea to have a pro check it before the heating season begins. Kinda like having a chimney sweep come to check and clean fireplace and chimney. As they say, it couldn't hurt.
In case anyone else is looking for a crabapple tree, I found this nice site that compares many types.

royal raindrops look nice
I'm married to the pro so no worries here ☺
Really liked that chart.....birds love my crabapple....so did the bear!
Received my second FW order today. Haven't opened it yet.
Ooooh, how could you wait.....I have to see them right away....
RD that looks close to one of the tiles I used in the bathroom
Jen with Victor's bad back... he can't do that... worth to pay someone.. we won't do our WS either
Ya I know.... just busting his chops
I'm selling the pumpkins DD bought.
The long hot summer left a bumper crop for her friend the farmer who sells his produce and annual bedding plants at farm markets and the office parking lot.
She bought a crate( 40) .
We kept them in the garage.Kids in the neighborhood dont need them for sport.
We are nearly sold out since I sent the pic to neighbors and I am having a studio sale of paintings.
DD is also having "girls night" that aught to finish the pile.
man $2.00???? coming up there to buy my pumpkins!!!
She just want to break even for the cost.
People are buying 5 at once. DDand I thought we would have lots of leftovers for compost. It looks like thats not going to happen.
OK by me .I hate weeding the plants in the spring.
guess if we do get any i should put some of the seeds out
We grew a winter squash last year.Squash and Tomatoes come up everywhere.
Yes, Allison - and the knee. These guys are constantly laying and kneeling for a couple of hours while doing this.
baby
Nice pumpkins....I bought mine for $2.00 apiece, but they're small.....
Ge1836, Nice pumpkins and a great price. The deer ate all ours except 3 this year. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I am moving the plants back into the GH today....not my favorite job. another grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
We got the all the shrubs and some new Japanese Maples planted in the area we had to dig up to rebuild rotten retaining walls, but the job is finally finished except for a couple of lights that need to be bought and installed. Looks good.
Continuing to work on putting the garden to bed, but lots still blooming so not in a huge hurry. I cooked up fried green tomatoes from the garden last night with grilled shrimp. I also cooked up a mess of Kale soup and a big bowl of tomatillo and tomato salsa as we still have plenty of those as well as peppers. Made up more herb pesto to freeze. Many eggplants still growing too. Basil still is huge and bright green, but I need to pick it soon or I will lose it.
I am heading over to Cornell and the Finger Lakes for a few days to surprise my 95 year old mom who is over there leaf peeping. I also want to visit a God son who is in grad school of Arch there. Should be fun, though a long drive alone as DH and dogs are staying home. I hope they keep busy in the garden and in the kitchen. Patti

Wow you sure have been busy. That area is going to be wonderful next spring I bet. Are those plants new or some replanted from original garden and other spots in the yard? Have a fun day with family and friends.
great list patti - you have sent me off to research again :)
were all the jm' specimens? i see some conifers in that list could be the start of something.............
Super busy, huh? Can't wait to see them.
Wow - another big fall push, Patti!
Wow! Nice list Patti!!! You've been a busy lady! I hope this means your feeling better :)
Unpacked the FW order. Looks great. Miss Grace is about 4 - 4 1/2 ft tall. I could not plant anything as we're preparing to go away this weekend. Will plant them all next week.
I looked at Miss Grace. Nice plant, maybe next year. Have fun this week end. I am about 2/3 done with greenhouse move. Exhausted. I have too many plants to fit inside, so I am struggling.
Trying to get everything done before my Nov. operation. I will be out of commission for a few weeks, but will be on line trying to keep up with everyone. So I am doing the mad dash to finish up garden chores before then, so DH doesn't get stuck with all the work. It is bad enough that he will be having to take care of me, let alone get left with all the garden and house work. We have been making up soup to freeze for my liquid diet as I can't bare the thought of living on Ensure for a few weeks.
Just came in to supervise the wall placement of a new flat screen TV that a friend sent us as a house gift for using our house for a couple of weeks. I think he thought ours was puny and wanted a better one for his next visit. I am not complaining, as it was a super gift. Back to the GH now that DH and a friend have it where I want it to go. I pointed very well as to what I wanted. Patti
patti i survived your list with only 4 yellow lines and i think i have the glauce prostrata buried under the caryopteris so that will need to be moved this spring.
nice friend indeed!
nice size victor - i have been impressed with the one order i received from FW.
Yes - very nice gift! He can stay here for awhile.
Just got David's trees. All three are great. Great value with him!
All three are over five feet tall and full.
we are even:)
i've been looking at the purple ghost he sent in the spring - tree is fine although i will need some major trimming to give it a tree shape. has to vertical branches within an inch of each other that go up maybe three feet - need to remove one and trim down the other to mee the height of others - just a weird shape.
