Nice picture Sheila.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

That was a fun RU! Tomorrow's will be more fun, I'm sure! At least there will be no rain and no cool temps this time.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

I am looking forward to it! Sorry for those of you who aren't going to be able to make it after all. You'll be missed.

Dallas, TX

Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon! I know I always say this, but I'm always amazed and grateful for the depths of your generosity!

On a lost and found note, someone left their note pad on my table -- I have it.

Have a great autumn and winter, we'll see you all in the spring.

Kate

Arlington, TX

I agree with Kate, I came home with much more than I had anticipated. Thanks for sharing with me everyone.
Cheryl
BTW, did anyone find a Korean foxglove? I got home with the alstromeria bulbs but lost the foxglove.

Plano, TX

do i get the prize for first one with the plants in the ground and watered??
i sitll have a few that i want to pot up rather than in the ground

i had a wonderful time--y'all are fun, generous and good cooks!!

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Maggi went to a fish fry that started at 6:20 and I got there at 6:30, was this a great day or what. I came home with less than half a van load, what a deal. I did come home with plants I wanted and will fill the north side between the house and the peafowl pens. Had a great time everyone and thanks to the host and hostess for putting on a great swap. Now to unload Maggi's van and reload for her work tomorrow, goodnight.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I came home with my van full but have unloaded only a couple of larger plants that looked a bit wilted. They have been watered and should be much happier now that it is cooling off outside. I'll take the rest out and admire them again in the morning.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day -- visiting with old and new friends, sampling as many of the delicious dishes as I could, and swapping plants. It just doesn't get much better than that. Thank you, Josephine and Frank, for hosting again. I know it's a lot of work, and we appreciate you both very much!

Wichita Falls, TX

I had more fun than I imagined -- thanks for convincing me to come! The kids had a great time too. After our 2 1/2 hour drive home and thekids looking forward to getting home and getting out of the car, I ask if that meant they wouldn't want to go with me next time -- They very much want to go next time. I was a bit surprised.

I also brought home more plants than I imagined -- 80+ Wow! I hope I have the same excitement as I get them in the ground.

StephanieTX -- sadly I found your JOhn Fanick Phlox still on my table. Somehow it didn't get packed this am. Sorry!

Kate -- the notepad is mine! I've been looking high and low for it. I'll d-mail about it.

Thanks All!!!

We had such a good time, as always. Great weather, great food, great plants, and great folks to mingle with! Josephine, Frank, and Sheila did another great job.

Let the record show that for the first time EVER I have a couple of plants in the ground and watered on the same day as the swap. (Hey! I had to work out my frustrations over the Cowboys' self-destruction.)

Brenda~Don't worry about the phlox. Take care of it over the winter and bring it in the spring.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Ditto on the great day. My guests, Carol and Anita enjoyed themselves. Ofcourse they commented on how friendly and nice everyone was.Thank you Josephine and Sheila on the super organizing and Frank, who did such a great job on the door prizes. Everything is out of the car and potted. I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow so I could plant the babies.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

And same for me. I had so much fun! Wow, I came home with way more plants than I planned. You guys are so generous, you just amaze me! But most of all, it was great to get to visit with old friends and meet some new ones in person. And what a gorgeous day we had for it.

Thanks to Josephine & Frank & Sheila and all the others who helped pull this off. Already looking forward to the next one.

Plano, TX

doesn't it seem like the plants multiply when we have the round ups?--kinda like the fish and loaves?
