A problem with accessing newest posts

Am I the only one with this problem today? When I go to a thread and try to see the latest post, nothing happens when I click. If I scroll down, I can't reach the latest one, but rather a post from a day or so previous.

I'm not having any problems. First I would check to make sure that the page is fully loaded--if it's still in the middle of loading then the skip to new function won't work and if you scroll down it might not have loaded the most recent posts yet. If you're sure the page has completely loaded, then you might try rebooting your computer--a lot of times that'll fix weird random bugs.

I had already tried rebooting, and that didn't work. Whatever was causing it, it seems ok now. Thanks for the suggestions.

My husband says sometimes computers do this just to show us who's boss.

I am having this problem, or similar. It's been happening most of the times I visit. I usually go to the Canadian forum, and have just about given up, because I can't go to new, or the bottoms of the threads. Now, I also have to log in every time I visit DG. I just visited the new forum, Ask a Gardener and was going to answer a question. It took me out and told me I had to login or subscribe first. :(

Also, opening up thumbnails is a thing of the past for me.

I wonder if your browser is for some reason being really slow to completely load pages? That would explain why you can't skip to new, browse to the bottom of a thread, or load enlarged versions of thumbnails.

As far as the Ask a Gardener forum, nobody can post responses there--everyone sees that message about having to login or subscribe regardless of whether they're actually logged in or not. The writers choose a couple questions from that forum for a Saturday article every couple weeks ago, so nobody's able to post reponses.

For logging in every time you come here, I'd check your browser settings. If your browser isn't set to allow cookies, or if your browser is set to clear your cookies every time you close it, either of those things would cause you to have to log in every time. Maybe you or someone else who uses your computer accidentally changed something, or sometimes when browsers automatically update themselves the settings will get changed then as well.

Earlier today I couldn't preview, couldn't post. I'm only having that problem here, so that's why I didn't think it was on my end but rather something to do with DG. I've never had this problem until recently, and I haven't changed anything on my computer. Now it seems ok.

Ironically, I've had no problems here but FB and Blogger have both been plagued by slowdowns, outages and 503 errors today. I think it is/was a full moon?
