I've been constantly taking pictures of these little hummers and loving every minute of it. This one loves the lantana blooms on our back deck.

While I was testing my camera and using the "Spot" metering which Linth suggested, I was able to see something on my hummers that I'd never noticed before.

Take a look around the eyelid and below it-doesn't it look like this hummer has tiny stitches around the eye?

Will there be a map of North America as the Hummers fly back down south? We still have the Annas here. They are now getting ready for the Fall/Winter season here. I had some all Winter last year and Friends here in Ladysmith have been feeding them all Winter for years.

Does not migrate, but moves to areas with more food
Breeding Period: December to June
Non-Breeding Range: Expands range to the north and south

van, I also report on Journey South. It is a great site and you don't need to be intimidated by the fact that they ask who your teacher is. Just ignore that part. I also report on Journey North in the spring.
