(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi Gordon! My guess is 77

Thanks!!

(Cathy), MO

3rd guess is 66

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well... I'm at a loss as to how to continue.... I guess more guesses from the ones interested might help... Ya'll are next to it on both sides of the right number... I guess one guess a day ... wothout reguard as to how many guessses one might have made...
one a day brug guess...
A boon to the ones following this closest I guess... there's not alot of numbrs available with guesses on each side of it .. come on... someone with skil enough to make a list of the guesses ... should surely have it on this round...
The plant I intended is growing so... as is the way of EF... what might have made it in the box at the start will be folded to get it in and mailed off this week.. the last two days of rain have sent everything here into bushy flowering mode... and more cool humid ..rain on the way weather... has the leaves getting bigger.. stalks getting longer ... and buds starting to grow also.... so help this poor Emerald Frost plant... get it right.. and save it from defolation.. in order to get it into it's shipping container...

(Cathy), MO

Mulberry, FL

Congrats Becky! Thanks Gordon for doing this!

Atta Girl Becky and a very nice gesture Gordon. Have you reached the load capacity of your roof top garden or can you get it up to 100!!!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

John... OH ... the capacity has long ago passed.. either weight wise or in sheer living with them... walkways are continuly being closed off... come on down... we'll GIVE away a bunch to ones that show up here... things to big to ship..
If it was just brugs I'd be OK... .. but i have other interests as well ..
Well.. it's my pleasure to give plants away.. and I couldn't think of a contest question to have... other than I'm thinking of a number...
I've likely mentioned before an old southern family tradition in our family...
is not to thank someone for plants... as it flys in the fact of who it is that we have to thank for all the growing bounty we have with us.. One might just say that you'll grow them out as best you can.. Good Growing...

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks for the congrats.. Y'all can't touch me today... I'm walking on air..LOL

Gordon.. well said... so I say I'll do the very best by her, and hope she grows well to make more babies so I can share! I've also heard here in the South you don't say thank you cause it will die... opps... but it's just in my blood to say thank you for anything someone is willing to share with me.. maybe I better stop on the plants though!!

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Congratulations, Becky!

Ripley, MS

YEAH for Becky !

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

OMG.. I am lovin' the attention..LOL..Thnaks again!! I've never won anything in my life!! Well I did "win" a lifetime subscription to Life magazine when I was a kid. Remember that one? I was soooo excited... then my Momma called to get my "prize", and it turned out we had to PAY for it... so much for winning!

Super pic little heavy needed support very pretty!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

OH that white thing is actually a 1 x 1" square hunk of acrylic plastic... it is a support ..
but for the next brug over ...it's clear plastic... but the cut edges get a white ness.. from the unpolished saw cut..I have an underground light ... under it.. and it causes the saw cut to glow when it's on yet the clear is just clear..looking through it... the fiberoptic principal... the smaller variegated plant needed a bit of support... and partaly it's a corner plant.. and the plastic rod helps keep folks a bit further around the plant there.. it's a new variegated one to me and I'll be ... well I can't find it's name... but it and the emerald frost started out the same size...

You know your way around brugs Thats got to look cool at night with the blooms and light shining on them thats when I would be out there with the camera night shots are really neat. We have had rain here way too much. I have to raise my beds before I plant clay base here so it can only take so much water after 8 inches it stands. How does that roof top drain? Well I have to go out there and disg a drainage hole and the plant comes back this fall i am moving it. But Pink Velvet is one tough brug with stands heat very wet conditions and keeps flowering lol no bud drop here!

OH MY Gordon.. that pic of EF is so gorgeous!! especially the way the morning light is caressing the blooms... Thanks for sharing, and ooooh I'm so excited..lol

Dana... it does amaze me just how tough these brugs really are. After they Y is seems their only determination is to bloom, and boy what a determination they have!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

this is the first acrylic thing I built.. using the light transmission spect I mentioned... some 40 years ago / a 4 poster bed made from 4" square acrylic.. it used the fiberoptic nature of plastic,, to have the posts glow on their two cut edges.. yes.. that's me back then.. the 24 year old.. bed builder.. it sat on a chrome base.. with lights in the corners.. and shooting the length of the plastic... color could be changed by adding gels to the lights....or have I posted these pictures before.. well what the heck.. that was 1970 for the folks who can remember ...

All your missing there is the strobes black lights and the bong lol That was better times not the problems we have today in the world

Little Rock, AR(Zone 7b)
