CLOSED: Lots of very tiny insects in my house, help me out!

Guadalajara, Mexico

I have been seeing this insects all over my house, especially during the night. They are very very tiny, and jump away as soon as you try to touch them. I see them everywhere!

Of all the pictures I took, only 2 came out ok, one was good for size reference and the other for detail. Could they be book lice? Please help me identify them, since I want to know it they are harmless or do they pose a problem for my me, my furniture or my dog!

These are indeed booklice (Psocodea: Liposcelidae); they basically are nuisance pests that seldom do any real harm. They feed primarily on mold spores and bits of organic detritus, and thrive in moist, warm environments. lowering indoor humidity levels and eliminating unnecessary sources of moisture will help reduce their numbers.

Thank you very much suunto!
