Here is another shape of fuji shibori cross, lots of variant traits. Some had reversed tubes, I'll run into the photos eventually.

These are two vines (from the same cross) they came out color coordinated.. they really looked good.. I have to say they made a statement all by themselves.

Antoinette,

I just love your crosses! I am considering to try some mcrossing myself...

ooh, I just posted in the hybridizer's forum for you saying this exact same thing, you will love it.. It is not easy to do, but, you can if you put your mind to it. The hard part is getting up early EVERY day and getting those flowers before any bugs do. But, if you tag and bag, you will have no problem. I hope more people try it out.

Antoinette - WOW! Love all your crosses! They are amazing! Boy! I can honestly say that any I've grown out from you have knocked my socks off!

Here is Chocolate Blizzard from the seeds you shared with me. Is this an F1 vine from yours?

Fuji no Monet (White form) x Fuji no Sora. I wonder if this cross took? If so, the no Sora might show up in the F2?

I love that one that looks like ink got splattered on it. How pretty!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Beautiful Blooms, A. I love them all. Yours too Becky..

Becky,

The Chocolate Blizzard is a real beauty. So soft and feminine.

Aschaffenburg, Germany

Antoinette what are the parents of this plant http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8023224

ten-ten and a regular white?

Martin

Mesilla Park, NM

Martin, that one is Chocolate Picotee x Ten Ten, that is a variant of one of these crosses, I gave some seeds for this cross to Joseph and Karen05 a little over a year ago, I don't know if they grew them out, I think Karen said she did, but I haven't seen photos of them, so it is possible they got something entirely different since they are not stable.. but they are a good pair to cross.

Aschaffenburg, Germany

I have never had any luck with the ten-tens...I think they have the dwarf gene that makes them very delicate...

I like the ten ten crosses. I had blue Jishsi x ten ten last year, and sent out seeds in that mg swap. Mine are just now starting to grow vines. I havn't figured out the ten ten part yet.

Mesilla Park, NM

Which Part is it you don't understand?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I don't think the spots of Ten Ten showed up in any of the vines? Perhaps that is what Debra is referring to.

Here is your cross, A... Fuji Shibori x Ten Ten.

Mesilla Park, NM

Blue Jishi x 1010 was that your cross? Oh, I didn't know what she was referring to.. Does she mean she hasn't figured out how to cross with Ten Ten? Usually Ten Ten is full of pollen, so you have to take advantage of that and cross as many flowers that you can on those days..

I think I'm still not understanding, but that is not the first time I mess up, so maybe eventually I'll get it .

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jishi x Ten Ten was originally YOUR cross, Antoinette! Not mine! LOL! I think with the Ten Ten ... we'd hope to see spots/splotches. That may be what Debra meant...

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I guess I meant to say, is tenten a flower or a term? sorry for being so vague.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

LOL! Oh that's too funny! I'd never thought of that!

Ten Ten is a flower. Check out the color and the spots! I thought that is what you were referring to, Debra! LOL

Thumbnail by beckygardener
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

OH! LOL well I'd never have known that, but I do now! Thank You

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

See what I mean about the spots? It would be neat to see some spot on that Jishi, wouldn't it???? That would be pretty cool! ;-)

Mesilla Park, NM

Ten Ten means (period, period) (dot dot) (Punto Punto) (Speck Speck)

so I guess it should read this way:

I. nil Kikyo (Ten Ten) (indicating it is the one with dots/specks/periods etc..)

the solid ones, use names like

I. nil Kikyo Lt. Blue (Dracula)

Some use the color only Lavender, etc.. white

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I didn't know what Ten Ten meant. Cool! Like morse code? LOL! LOL
