i spray mine with an ortho fugicide - works great.
Plant Swap thread for Bill's 9/18 Pepperell, MA RU
I thought you said fudgesicle
I'll have to look up elsie kelsie, I've never heard of it. That's a lovely picture, the foxgloves and lupines look great together. I might like to scarf up a few foxglove babies, as my self-seeded ones seem to have mostly died out during the intense heat and drought.
Flowajen, do you have room left in your car, or are you coming in a truck?
I'm coming with Allison in her truck.
Good idea!
what fun is it without some typo's!!
Is rust a fungus? I'm very tempted to take you up on digging a baby maroon hh, and getting some fungicide for next year. I often get some rust on a few daylilies and tricyrtis toward the end of the season, and would happily do without that as well.
it is a fungus - i burn all my hollyhock at the end of the year along with the tomato plants to kill any spours - the "stuff" also stops blight and mildew - i swear by it after fighting blight for several years. it is an all purpose ortho fungicide that can be found in most garden centers. i get the concentrate.
That's good to know. Thanks.
lets hope I have a truck
:(
oh no, what happened????
the metal brake line blew out ... and the others are on there way out.. all need to get changed
I have just updated this thread in the first post lists, but this will likely be my last update. We have brought Bailey home from the hospital but have lots of aftercare and meds to be dispensed all throughout the day, so I will have very limited time online this week. If everyone who has not yet posted what plants are wanted or plants to be brought/swapped would just keep up with your own trades from here on out, that would be very helpful. I hope to see you all at the RU....we are still planning to give it a go and be there, at least for a brief visit. Thanks a lot! L
Healing Purrs for Bailey.
Memory and the cats
Thanks so much, Memory! The purrs are doing the trick!
I have a lot of yapping!!!!.... sending some of those your way!!!
deb and sue - regarding hosta's - i stopped at the nursery down the hill from me to look at mum's that cindy would like to have to do a price check. they have a large variety on 50% off most would be $4-5 and they have some really nice choices - they are small and a little sun burnt - they are hosta and they will recover. just in case i thought i would let you know.
i picked up three japanesse hak...... grasses i did not have yet. tough to leave empty handed!
Thanks Bill
Thanks Allison! Yapping is good!! lol How is your truck feeling?
Hostas always bounce back....love 'em.....
Never mind that Q about your truck Allison.....I'm sorry to hear it won't be a quick fix for you but very happy that Jen will be able to bring you all to Bill's. It just wouldn't be the same without you guys! Bailey is recovering steadily, so we are going to leave the dogs with our groomer who lives nearby. She will be able to keep a constant eye on Bail better than we could at Bill's. It looks like we will have lovely weather for the day!
glad to hear Bailey is feeling a bit better
Thanks, Allison! She has her bright eyes back. :)
always good
:) She just did my favorite thing....she walked over and bumped my calf lightly with her nose. Then she just looks at me with those pretty eyes. I love it when she does that....it's so gentle and so communicative. :) I can't tell you how happy I am that we didn't lose her. How are you doing with your babies?
Sounds like she's back Louise...so happy for you!
aaaaaawwwwwww so cute Louise... amazing the little things they do to say I love you... the pups are good... still way too much fun
Glad I can be of service! I have to sign a waiver to use hubby's truck, but......
edited for spelling

I didn't always believe that, but am finding I get my way most of the time...
