Plant Swap thread for Bill's 9/18 Pepperell, MA RU

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks Sharon. And don't worry....there will also be a free-for-all plant swap for sure! The Big List (lol) is just to help people not to have to read through all the posts several times to keep in mind what they are supposed to bring for people. Someone asked me to do it last year when we had ours, and it seemed to work well for people who came. I've been to other RUs without any plant thread at all, and that worked fine too. I don't think there's any ONE way to do this.....just want to help Bill out any way I can. I think if everyone just showed up with plants, it would work out just fine, but I'm not inclined to dig up a bunch of plants that no one wants and then stick Bill with having to do something with them. LOL

I'm not worried, Louise. Just appreciative of your efforts.

Anyone want a blackberry plant? These are thorn-less, semi-erect plants that grow 6 or 7 feet high and produce a large berry on second year canes. They reproduce by the tips of a branch touching the ground - so they really aren't hard to control.

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

I can't name names off the top of my head right now, but I definitely have some hosta that need to be thinned, dramatically. I also have a lot of DL's that could use some dividing, again, can't name names. If a DL has lost its tag, I will write the descrpition, to the best of my ability down. I may have some other odds and ends. I may also try and do some cuttings, I hope they will be ready by then.

Again, please mark me down as tentative.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I have enough Blue Butterfly Scabiosa, if any one wants some. It is sterile but I divided it last year and it really took off. I read somewhere it needs to be divided often to keep it vigorous.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'll take some of that Blue Butterfly Scabiosa, Meredith, please.

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

I am also bringing some unnamed Hosta ( it will get big ) in addition to the daylilies.

I have the pale yellow scabiosa if anyone wants some. It's actually almost white.
