Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx louise!

Thomaston, CT

I have allium Bulgaricum bulbs if anyone is interested in them.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

I haven't put together a list yet, but here's a few I have quite a bit of:

corydalis lutea
anemone tomentosa "robustissima" ( and though definitely robust once it gets going, has a kind of tap root, so let me know well ahead of time, as it often needs a recovery period after potting up)
iris cristata (lavender color)
astrantia seedlings - most likely "moulin rouge"
campanula takesimana

I'll have lesser amounts of:
noid columbine and seedlings of "clementine salmon rose"
epimedium rubrum
vancouveria
tricyrtis noid - appears identical to "dark beauty"

Want list:
persicaria "red dragon" and any other dragons except chocolate, which I recently bought.
dicentra "burning hearts". I bought one this summer and don't know if it died or went dormant, but I loved it.

will update later.

Sure, Bill. Happy to do it. I'm going to let this thread ramble awhile before I update any lists. That will cut down on the edit issue. Robin - I'd love some allium bulbs. Sharon- that's a nice list!
Louise

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Louise.

Thomaston, CT

Is our RU going to be an overnighter? I think the date is wrong if not. Your name just went on a bag of bulbs, Louise.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wow....that's the second time I've done that, Marilyn!! What is pathetic is that I read it over twice! I'll ask the admin people to change it if they can and if I can remember how to request it. Thanks for catching it! For clarification....the RU is on Saturday the 18th, and it's not an overnight!! LOL

Marilyn - forgot to say thanks about the Alliums!! I got distracted by my mental block on the date!! I have asked for some direction in how to fix it so it won't cause problems for Bill. By the way, Bill, how many guest rooms do you have in case it can't be fixed? :)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i suggest guests bring tents...........

Too funny wha!
I know the feeling of reading things twice and still missing the mistakes. It happens to me all the time. Maybe you could put it in bold at the top of the first post so that way people see it right away, in case anyone skips to the bottom later. I know I'm guilty of doing that when I find a thread that already has hundreds of posts. But the bold at the top gets my attention. :)

Thomaston, CT

OK Bill....alliums are packed up for you as well.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx marilyn - was confused on on who had what after 4 posts:)

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

I don't know how I forgot, but while I remember, I have lots of baby astrantia seedlings that need new homes. Probably "moulin rouge" mother, but possibly "ruby wedding."
I'll edit above to add.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

ROTFL, Bill! Hang in there!

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

I am bringing day lilies which I just dug up,a big clump of it so I should have quite a few. They're red/yellow and looks like Summer Wine. Also have some other plants to bring, will let you know.

Perreniallyme,
Could I please have some astrantia seedling.

Have tried with seeds and just never had any luck at all.I would love to have both if you can spare it..I even would trade you some named irises for them.does that tell you how much I LOVE them :-)

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Eglantyne, I'm so happy that someone wants my plants! I'll put your name on some of the astrantia. They're self-starters that came up in a clump around the mother plant. Did you cold stratify the seeds before you planted them - or try wintersowing them? I only have the one kind of seedlings, but I have some seeds from another one (just collected) if you want to try again. Just let me know.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

May I also have some astrantia babies, Sharon?

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Certainly, Louise!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thank you!

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Sharon,
I thought I stratified them enough but did not winter sow them.
Would LOVE to have some of your seeds if you coach me through it so I won't fail again.I have started some other seeds successfully in the past especially my own DL crosses but for some reason I did not have luck with the astrantia's.I am game :-)

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Anyone want some rose geranium? I started some cuttings from the plant I bought at Well Sweep a couple of years ago.

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Is that the one that actually smells like a rose ? if so I would like to have a cutting since I grow a lot of roses and love the scent.
Are they rooted already ?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes it smells like a rose... I love them!!!

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

You're very welcome, Louise.
Brigitte, ask me about wintersowing at the roundup. I think that would be the easiest way to germinate the astrantia.

AYankeeCat, are those annual or perennial geraniums?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Perreniallyme, I'd like a Tricyrtis and a Astrantia(if any left), please
Eglantyne, I'd like a daylily please

Haven't figured out what I can bring yet, will post that later, will it be too late to split Siberian Irises?

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

flowerjen,
got you covered. They are not tiny ,I'll have them potted up.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

The cuttings are growing in pots. I bring the whole plant in for the winter and put it outside this spring. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they can stay outside all year.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

flowerjen, I've got you on the list.
I've split siberian iris in late fall with no problem. They're very tough plants.

YankeeCat, I'm going to pass on the geraniums as I have more indoor plants than I can deal with already. I did look them up. They are pelargoniums, and not hardy here.

I'm adding campanula takesimana to my available list - another how did I forget.

Here's the start of my want list, though I don't have high hopes:

persicaria "red dragon" and any other dragons except chocolate, which I recently bought.
dicentra "burning hearts". I bought one this summer and don't know if it died or went dormant, but I loved it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Can we keep the haves to just original spot? It's starting to get confusing....

Look at how they did it for the MA swap...
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1088764/

Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Would it be too confusing to have a HAVE list and also a WANT list ? the lists would be shorter without so many posts.Or what do you all think ?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

In the first post on this thread are the two lists (one list for wants & one list for haves) that I am going to fill in more completely now that people have begun to indicate what they want and what they can bring. Once I have filled those in from the posts so far, you will be able to go to the first post only to see who is doing what. That worked well for us last year, so I hope that helps. As people mention what they are bringing, etc., I will then update the lists. Thanks for you patience!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, one more thing....if everyone would use the common name for the plants you have or want, it will be easier for people to look them up in Plant Files. That will also make my job of updating the lists a bit easier as well. Thanks!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Or people could just put a link to plant flies for not too familiar offerings

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That would help a lot.....good idea, Jen!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

of course I have coleus that didn't get planted in spring... some are kind of leggy... but will do fine if you cut them back... or plant them deep like I do... if anyone wants a special coleus just ask.. I might have it...

seed geraniums... not hardy
pinto salmon http://summerhillseeds.com/geranium-pinto-salmon-p-441.html
pinto coral http://summerhillseeds.com/geranium-pinto-coral-p-442.html
pinto pink http://summerhillseeds.com/geranium-pinto-pink-p-443.html

I am attempting to root the 3 in 1 hydrangea.. of course the cuttings won't be 3 in 1 but will either be white or two toned (attached photo)

4 rooted cuttings of my Weigela 'Carnaval' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/84123/

shasta daisies http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/48/

plain green hosta (some are sunburned)

Hmmmmm - I just added Allison's offerings (with the links) to the Summary List in the first post, and I'm not sure it works great to include the links there when they can be found below . Any objections to finding the link in the posts below? The Summary List is just so people will know in the end what they are giving to whom. If there's no objection, I'll remove the links from Allison's in the first post of the thread.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks for all your organizational work, Louise! I had no idea this was going to be so organized, as the only 2 roundups I've been to before, it was just kind of say what you're bringing if you feel like it, and maybe get an idea if people want it. Then a kind of free for all at the roundup.

Brigitte, so I don't forget, I looked at the wintersow container today, where some of the astrantia still are, and noticed that after planting I kept them indoors for 2 weeks before putting the container out in the cold for the winter. (I write what I did on the container). I must have read to give them warm before cold. Of course you could just try planting them outdoors in the fall - or sooner, as the new seeds have just been produced.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

We cross-posted, Louise. No objections here.
