Farewell my NE Forum Friends :-)

Good point, Lucy! We are very happy he is tentatively coming to Bill's RU! And....he is bringing his famous "tentative pasta salad"......LOL (You just gotta keep a sense of humor, don't you????) :)

LOL...I should change the name of the pasta salad to, "Tentative Pasta Salad." It would be a fun inside joke.

To Thom, the living, I am happy that you will be around DG. Your humor, energy and knowledge would be sorely missed. So a big thanks to the kindness of whoever knew how much you would be missed.

To Victor, so sorry for your Thom D. and all that loved and admired him. What a weird coincident.

I am lurking away, but please know that all of you and your gardens, pets and families have been in my thoughts. I am sorry to have been out of the loop again this summer, but lurking is at least emotionally good for me. No pity party needed as I plan on rallying soon. I am going to try to make an appearance at Wha's RU. I have thousands of bulbs to plant so I must lick my aliments. Nothing changes when you are a bulb addict, not to mention all the other plants I have ordered. Poor DH. Patti

thom happy you are staying - thought the ru might be the swan song, glad it is not.

patti look forward to seeing you:)

Wha, I hope you do see me. It would be a treat for me to finally see your garden this year. Too many times that I had to sadly cancel. Patti

Victor, sorry to hear about your friend.

I know that my name is not uncommon by any stretch of the imagination...but...

6 years ago I went out to visit a friend of mine and his partner, they had been wanting me to come visit them in San Francisco for about 2 years at this point. So, I went out there. There are Starbuck's everywhere, so one afternoon we went to one of the Starbuck's. I ordered the big mocha, and I'm looking at the business cards of the manager of the place...Thom Dougherty. So I asked the person at the counter if he was there...sure enough, he was. I showed him my DL, and he started to really laugh, belly laugh hard. Not only did he spell his name with an H like me, but his full name, exactly like mine: Thomas Jeffery Dougherty, Jr....so, he was the 2nd...even more corky...and the reason he had tears rolling down his face...his birthday, May 22, 1970. He was a morning baby also. So, same name, Jr., same bday, except he was 4 years older than me. I was born at 830am.

Had to share that...even if it brings a smile to everyone. I've never run into that again, and I expect that I never will.

Wow, that is crazy. My friend's middle initial was also J, but not sure what the name was. Wrote part of his obit today. Sucks putting someone's life into one paragraph. I want a song, instead of an obit!! ^_^

Very cool, Thom! FYI - I don'tt eat pasta on my low-carb food plan, but I think I might be able to eat "tentative pasta", so if you bring it, I'll have to taste it! LOL

Patti - You are in my thoughts often, with wishes that you will feel well soon and be able to join us at Bill's.

Thanks, DonnieBrook, I would love to try "Tenative Pasta" too or just to view it. Patti

Yes, feel better, Patti.
