My neighbors fixing the leak in my roof and only charging me $15 an hour for their labor. The do construction for a living - they are worth so much more. I just hope that they are right about the termites not coming back if the wood is dry. I have been trying to get someone to address the problem for years and they kept saying that the gutter was leaking back into the house. Now the header in the kitchen wall needs to be replaced from the leak and thankfully the neighbors will do that too - but there are so many plants and cats to move before they can get in there. :)
The little things in life that make you happy
It's always something with a darn house! You're lucky to have such great neighbors....
$15/hr that is a great deal. Good to have great neighbors
Is a good deal for labor, though I would not trust the termite promise.
Yeah - I agree and then there are the carpenter ants... They are coming to replace the header in the wall today. I locked the boys together in the cat room with the patio open - I hope Sampson doesn't kill Wallingford. Holly has her basket on top of the fridge - if she gets out the door she will stay in the back yard or at my neighbors - the one who doesn't have pit bulls.
The same neighbors will replace the roof as soon as I can find a way to borrow enough money to pay for it - so they will be looking at the spot that had termites again before too long. It is just too hard to get anyone to do work on your house. I have been trying to get a handyman or better, an electrician to put in a plug on the outside of the house so I can put a heated water bowl out for the "charity cats" for THREE years! Lots of promises, but no luck. I know why people buy condos - but even then "stuff happens".
What a great pic!!!
Amazing photo, hope you make a 3D-framed version!
I love the picture, you def. have to save that one for when she turns 21! LOL
Keep that young gal empowered !!!
Make sure she never tolerates any "guff" from power-crats !!!
(I have, unfortunately, met my share of "powerlords"; education, and frank discussion, are the key).
She seems so serious about her role!
