North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

ok...I'm also adding this to my haves list

1 what I think is a cottonwood tree....I'm not sure what makes it a seedling, a sapling, or a whip, but it's about 2' tall and in a 10" pot

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes Cheryl, I have Ruellia nudiflora and I can give you one or two if you like.

Arlington, TX

I would like to try one. I have bought what I think is that plant twice and never had it survive the winter?
C

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

How strange, it is supposed to be very hardy, but I do know that it emerges later than most plants in the spring. I will set one aside for you.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Datura, I have a noid crinum, if you would like it. All I know is that it is white and pink.

Arlington, TX

Thanks Josephine for the native ruellia and the Datura w. Wish I had something more to offer than prairie phlox. Same to Catz. I appreciate the purple datura. Anyone want some Phlox pilosa, I have 5 or so left.
Cheryl

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Good to have you join us Peg, I was beginning to wonder.

Caddo Mills, TX(Zone 8a)

Datura12,

May I please have some of the dutchman's pipe seeds?

Tina

Hi Stephanietx

Frogfruit is a low growing sprawling ground cover. I pretty much ignore it and it does well. It produces little white flowers that the bees love.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Datura, I'll bring you some Autumn Joy. If the torch lily is still available, may I have it?

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanietx so is it like a sedum? Is there and Chili seeds or plants ( I still have to list ) or some of my sweet pepper Nardello or Napolean sweet seeds that would be worth a small portion of Frogfruit?

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Datura12, I am fascinated by the green envy coneflower. I have a hosta if you want to trade. I wish I would have known you wanted Zephine Drouhin. I dug it up a couple of weeks ago and carelessly replanted it. If it makes it, it 's yours.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Perkos, no it's not a sedum. It's just a low-growing, running plant. It gets no more than 6" tall, but it will spread like crazy.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

I need something to spread like crazy that will grow well on a semi slope with little to know babysitting. I have fragments left from my 6 year old Drawf Dragons blood sedum but it is to brittle and takes years to fill in an area I am looking at.

I done a little research on the Frogfruit and I would like at least a start of it if you could?

I will update my offerings list first thing tomorrow and if you see anything you would like to try it's yours.

Dallas, TX

Peg,

I'm so happy you're going to be there. I have hostas for you.

Can I have some Confederate Rose, please?

Thanks,

Kate

P.S. I'm bringing Richard ;)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Perk....that frogfruit will definately be good to help with erosion. I have it and need to thin it in one bed, so I will bring you some also.

May I try some of the Chiltepin seeds?

This message was edited Sep 20, 2010 8:16 AM

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Catz, I have a red TX Star hibiscus, but I'd love to try your noid hibiscus seeds. Thanks for offering.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure thing Sheila I'll bring ya a pack of Chiltepin seeds.

Thanks for the Frogfruit!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Everyone, a neighbor gifted me with some bare root Perilla, I don't need it, but if some of you want it I will pot it up, it is the purple kind, here is a link; please let me know I can make two pots.
http://www.illinoiswildflowers.info/weeds/plants/beefsteak.htm

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll take a pot of it frostweed!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

O.K. Michael, one goes to you.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes Kate ( msgrubbyfungus) on the Confederate Rose, these are supposed to root easily but I cut some and put it in water and they immediately drooped and leaves turn yellow. So we will just have to see what happens. How much Hosta do you have?

Bananna18 do you still have gomphrena?

Gretagreenthumb~ I have a pot of Guara I could trade your John Fannick for?

Planolinda still have walking iris, I lost mine from last year? What color is the Passion Vine?

DFWdennis I would like the crinum if you find something I have

Frostweed if you have any Bay Laurel I would like that

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Datura12, I have gomphrena for you. Do you need a lot of hostas?
perkoschilifarm, do you like dwarf mexican katie ruellia? That will cover a slope fast! Not as refined as frogfrut though.

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

pbtxlady~ I went through my seeds yesterday nd found a couple of other Hibiscus seeds also, so I'll bring some of all of them for you ok.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

bannana18- I could use a bunch of Hosta, already have the Mexican petunia, yes to the gomprena. Are they plants, forgot to ask? What could you use from my tradelist? If you don't see it ask me, I have others not listed.
Thanks

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry bannana18 I see you want green coneflower. No problem just let me know how many. It was somebody else that asked for the Mexican Petunia for groundcover.

OMG~this is going to be a nightmare keeping up with all the trades! LOL

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, can I get 3 coneflowers for me and my 2 guests? You can stick them all in the same pot and we can divide it. I will bring you gomphrena and hosta. Thanks! Yes..I know it can be hard to keep up...and then it comes to labeling!!!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg, I do no have any more bay laurel, sorry.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Perko~I can bring you as much frogfruit as you want! LOL I'll pot up several starts for you. They'll take care of your slope in no time.

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes bananna18 the dwarf mexican katie ruellia looks like a nice one as well. Anything in my list you care to try?

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Stephanietx!

See anything in my list that you think you would like or want to try?

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

Hey Greta? I have a pot of spider lily hymenocallis sp they have nice pure white blooms. I can give a picture to you tomorrow if you would like to see them?

http://flic.kr/p/kpHpV have a looksy!

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg, could I have a green coneflower, thanks?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg....just start you a document for trades and jot it down each time you make a trade...it is easier that way.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Kenboy, yes on the coneflower, if you still have the Brug, Day dreams I would like that. thanks

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Peg, is that all, we don't have to do a 1 for 1 trade?
