They do get to thinking they are human, don't they?  She looks for all the world like "fell asleep reading the paper on a Sunday afternoon". I DO hope she snores? LOL.

One of my cats tries to wedge herself in tight spots too. More so when she was just maturing.  She's a pretty big  kitty and I think it took her a while to realize/accept that she wasn't a tiny kitten anymore... Actually I suspect "big furred" is her preferred descriptor.  Silly cat!

Is your lab young? I can't imagine the energy a young one would have  I love labs, and we really thought about getting one when we were looking for a dog but realized it'd be pretty hard for us to give her the exercise she'd need -- some breeders claim an hour a day of running!  Just the sweetest dogs ever though.  I love the huge bone -- somehow it seems like the right size --big fun, hugely entertaining, unbridled enthusiasm -- something like that.  DID it help?

Thanks for the pics!

Hi Jan,
Yes, she does snore!! I tell my husband she learned it from him.LOL

I love cats (really any animal) they can be so entertaining and do the craziest things.

The lab (Sugarbritches) is 2 1/2. She is very high strung, but very well mannered. We actually bought her already trained. She will run after her 'dummy' (the toy), until she just can't go. It is so funny watching how excited she gets when she sees the 'dummy' and LOVES to swim, as you can see in the above photo. She will just go around and around in the pool. The bone was my husbands idea ($18, can you believe that??), it is so heavy she can hardly pick it up. It was actually too big for her to chew, we finally sawed it into so she could chew it better. She also loves to try to sit in your lap.

Very cute, she looks like a sweetie!!

Oh, I do recognize that look -- it's the doggy "if you loved me AT ALL, you'd share that cup of coffee with me" sulk. LOL And somehow they manage to make you feel a little guilty for not sharing. Or at least I do -- but maybe I'm just a big pushover.

I always tell Bosch "the LAST thing we need first thing in the morning is a schnauzer on caffeine"

Too cute!

Oh this takes me back.  I had several salt & pepper schnauzers when I was a kid. So I recognize that 'mine' look & the clenched jaw.  Back then people used to put out stale bread for the birds to eat.  One of my dogs used to bolt out the door, stuff his face with bread crusts, and then (try to) growl at anyone that intervened. It always came out as sort of a muffled "ggrrrmmmmmmmppphhhhhhhh".  LOL . Not the best behaved schnauzer I've ever had.  In fact, downright pushy -- I had no clue about training a dog (let alone a schnauzer) back then, and so the results were the predictable outcome of that charming terrier temperament without any limits.  But he was always a sweetie and I still miss the little guy after all these years.

Beautiful, beautiful dog! Love the scarf.  Do you show him/her? Thanks so much for posting the shots.  A good laugh & a trip down memory lane.
