Great blooms Debra
Morning Glories 2010 #14
Thanks Becky that is a neat bloom.
Thanks Robbie, I have around 14 chocolate-rose vines blooming-
almost done. Your bloom is very nice too.
Thanks Debra, glad you have some pretty blooms coming. Sorry to hear about your neighbor killing your plants. I avoided planting mine on the neighbor side of fence just for that reason and I thought for sure the bloom would be on their side and it would be hard to collect seeds.
Thanks too Jackie.
Oh, I love that bloom Helena. Do you know the name?
Helena, I love just the hint of pink or lavender. If you don't get any of the dark pink no Mai's, just lmk and I'll send you a few of mine
I had some mIko no mais like that from onalees, too, just ahint of a streak or stripe. I saved the one seed pod I got from it. The other package gave me the darker version, I love the light one you have. Very delicate, Helena.
Robbie, Debra, and Helena - Very lovely blooms! I love all the pinks!
Helena - YOU are getting some very unusual vines. Very awesome!!!
Robbie I love those blues!
Helen, Yes, please save me a few of the light no Mai.
I love it.
Really nice blue blooms Robbie.
these are my absolute favorites. The lime green variegated spade-shaped leaves are large. Stems are strong and i nil flowers are large and points upright. Only problem with that is when it's vining up on top, I can't see it really well because it points up. I'm definitely growing this one again next year.
Love your blooms and that was a good surprise.
Robbie
Another beautiful bloom Helena.
Love your pink blooms and the Keiryu Nicole.
The Keiryu has lite green lvs? Do you know the name of the pink?
I am so happy to have new blooms this morning. This was my last sd
from Karen's orig pkt to me of Sazanami Light I grew in 08.
This might be a cross. Beautiful light blue.
Every one's !! blooms are gorgeous !
Love this one Robbie! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8016922
Sorry Patootie, I went out and check the labels in the container and the blue and white one is from the Ukigumo Mix, not Keiryu. And the pink ones I thought was Hanafubuki but I looked at the pictures of those flowers and that is not it. It doesn't look like anything on my list, so I'm just going to consider it a no id i nil. The picture does not do it justice. It is a bright pink (almost considered hot pink) instead of the light color you see on the photo, with that tinge of white in the corner. The flowers are large i nil and the leaves are so pretty and they have strong stems to hold the large flowers upright.
Nicole - Your Kikyo Ice is really pretty! :-) Your Ukigumo mix DOES look a lot like Keiryu blooms.
Robbie - Is that Sun Smiles you have growing in that pot? Very nice!
Helena - Sweet bloom!
I have have new vines blooming now. I know Jackie may like this one ... Pink Mt. Fuji. It seems to be a little diluted. No viable blooms yet, but it is a young vine.
Becky, that picture posted above is not a Kikyo Ice even if it's in my Kikyo Ice container. The Kikyo Ice has dark green leaves and it's a short vine. Also, it's not pointy like the Kikyo. It's some kind of i nil that did not germinated and I probably threw the dirt into that container to recycle.
Here is the Kikyo Ice...
Very nice, Nicole! :-)
Thanks Becky and yes its sun smiles.
nice bloom Nicole.
Robbie
Beautiful blooms Robbie, Nicole, Jackie and Becky. Hard to pick a favorite so I'll just say love them all.
Becky, I love the Mt Fuji no Monet pink, it's gorgeous.
Great Kikyo Ice Nicole
Thanks Helena.

Lili,
Oh I like Kikyo Ice ! Very Nice !
Nicole those sure are purty! Are they varigated leaves ? I grew some similar on the north fence last year and sent a bunch out, look up Roman Candy..
My leaves were a bit more rounded and varigated, but they were with SOH so could be crossed and get the SOH shape leaves, ( the seeds I sent out) Just thinking out loud, SOH had a vright PINK almost red hue, and Roman Candy had a Bright Pink hue, with iced flower petal tips. Would be cool to see some of those seeds I sent out grown and checked to see if they are crossed. I love that kikyo ice, I am waiting for mine to bloom. Someone that I sent some of my grow out seeds last year has posted the blue jishi x ten ten in another forum, and they are gorgeous for her. Mine are just now vining. I hope I see some beautiful new blooms from the mg swap so I can share them with the senders.
Love that mt fugi no monet ,it is so pretty. I am waiting on my Ukigumo to do something.
Here is a volunteer on my side of the fence, inside the plastic lining edge. The camera could not pick up the Brightness of the colour this am at 6 thirty.
I spent the evening undoing the vines on the Patio South Barrell, I had vines from everyone in the mg swap planted in pots sitting around the big barrell, and now they are in the now vacant bean patch, with their own poles to climb. I planted at least one seed from everyone, a few people I planted more than one kind of seed, especially the ones I have not grown before. Here is hoping..
This is a volunteer cypress vine and volunteer messina creeper, climbing all over my cones. I will leave the cypress vine, since the cones are winding down, but I am cutting the voracious messina creeper. Everything here was started from seeds.
