Why am I starting to see insidious little ads in the margins? I was under the impression paid subscribers were immune to such bs.

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

I came to this forum to say the same....do we not notice them if they show up at night? lol
ALL of my ads are turned off in preferences.

I see them anytime I click on a forum.

here is another screen shot, once I realized they are also at the bottom of forums.

I only notice them at the bottom....wondered too, as I have my ads turned off.

Northern, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm getting ads too on the right bottom and mine are turned off.
I checked my settings and I shouldn't be getting ads.
Is this a mistake or a new policy? The only forum I'm not getting ads is this one.
I'm really not happy with this change. Make them go away please.

A new targeted ad (similar to the old "Top Watchdog Ads" was rolled in last night - the good news is, they should be more targeted and interesting than the general ads that we all like to block out ;o)

But I have sent an alert to the the tech team so they can find out how the ads are filtering through the preference settings. I'll let you know something as soon as I hear back from them.

Thanks Terry..... I hope they get it fixed to respect our preferences. Just popped over to ask the same questions.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

i want the option to remove them, pls.

Central, AL(Zone 8a)

I just came over to DG thread to see if anyone else had complained. I noticed ads when I have always opted out.

(Zone 7a)

I would like the option for ad removal for paid subscribers be honored, too.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

They are working on it - they were not aware it was circumventing the member preferences when it was rolled out.

Newnan, GA(Zone 7b)

They are not as good (tasteful or attractive) as the top watchdog ads were before and those showed just one ad. The red print looks like a cheap shot to get your attention and is most unattractive. (Just being honest). The photos in the others were what got your attention. I don't want these either.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I noticed them right away as well--rather mundane appearing, nothing I would ever click on.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Same here. I'd also opt for removal of them.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Terry looks like it's been taken care of.

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

I'm getting ads also, I don't like them, I don't want them!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Mine disappeared in the last five minutes! Thanks!

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

I too don't want to see ads

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

Mine are still showing up.

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

Mine too

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Most likely your browser has cached them; please try refreshing your browser and see if they continue to appear.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

They're still there for me too even after doing a shift-refresh to force it to reload the page.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Hmmm. I blocked mine with Mozilla's Adblocker (sshhhh, don't tell ;o) but I can probably turn them back on to test if the problem doesn't resolve by the time I get back later tonight.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

problem remains unresolved here

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

I still have them too. Hope something is being done about it. Thanks.

Sacramento, CA(Zone 9a)

The only place I see them are when I read the articles.

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

I have ads too and I have always opted out in preferences Mine are at the bottom of threads

I'm seeing them too still. Ad-blocker isn't blocking them :((

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I just got back and found a note that a fix has been deployed as of 8:30 my time (about half an hour ago.)

If you're still seeing the ads AND you've confirmed you've turned off the ads in your preferences AND you've tried refreshing/rebooting, then please let us know. I'll be around for a little while tonight.

(Zone 7a)

I don't see them any more - thank you

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Gone for me too

Northeast, LA(Zone 8a)

Gone for me too

Newnan, GA(Zone 7b)

Yeaaa! Gone. But I had to set the preferences to not see any ads at all. If the "good" ads come back, I hope someone will let us know. That's how I found Bluestone Perennials.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

As I understand it, this is the new version of the "good" ads. I liked the old "good ads" a lot better although I may give these a chance and see if they grow on me.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

Thanks for getting those ad aberrations axed.
