Gerris, thanks for the explanation, just a way of tracking an " unnamed" MG
Morning Glories 2010 #12
Pretty blooms Emma and Joseph.
Joseph - Your Flying Sparks reminds me of the JMG 'Yuuzuki': http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/91248/
Jackie - You must be enjoying all the pink blooms since that is one of your favorite colors of flowers! :-)
Becky, I'm starved for pink. LOL It's not like I didn't plant some pinks, not
a one of them came up. :-(
The Hanafubuki is a beautiful deep pink. It looks more purple in the photo. It's almost 3 now and the flower is still holding it's shape. Usually, it would be all wilted by now. May be it's partially protected by the pergola.
Emma, The Hanafubuki came from the MG seeds swap. Oh, I'm so embarrassed, I just looked up the picture and it looked nothing like that. May be I labeled it wrong. I have more buds so I'm curious to see what will bloom. I think I only have 1 vine.
Kai no Kasumi x Fujishibori = Purple-Raspberry Speckled looks good enough to eat !
becky I like your P. Bush cross too...The Flying Cloud and Kikyo cross's seeds are coming up. Don't know what colors the Kikyo 's are cause it was a mix, but I'm sure they will be beautiful !

Becky, I am sure I did not germinate P Bush seeds. I will look at my list and see what else in pink. Also, I noticed that you P. Bush cross has solid spade shaped leaves and mine is variegated. This is going to drive me crazy. I might have to germinate another Hanahubiki seeds just to see. I gave one to a neighbor but she said her cat attacked it and killed it.... LOL!
I hate it when I can't figure out what I germinated. And I've waited all summer for Hanahubuki to bloom too. Not that this JMG is disappointing at all. It is beautiful and I will enjoy just as much.
Joseph,
Thanks for showing us your awesome JMG leaves.
My TURQUOISE & WHITE Dilute Turquoise Blizzard-Fuji just started blooming so I'll post the photos that I have. The thing is that you can't tell which leaves go to which vine, so I'll check it out tomorrow because I do not remember if they are variegated or not. Also, I'll look at some of my last years photos.
I started 4 plants and so far have only seen one that is True. I'll give you an up-date when I can check my records and tell you what the others produced. One is very unusual and awesome, but is not the exact same as this bloom
Here is the first bloom this year
Emma,
These are beautiful! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7984116. I have a soft spot for Fujishibori, and the "Dark Form" really does it for me.
I like all the TURQUOISE & WHITE Dilute Turquoise Blizzard-Fuji.
Joseph,
You have some neat leaves going there. I think it is one of the reasons people find JMG so fascinating. Not only do you get all these absolutely gorgeous blooms, but one can actually get excited about the different leave types as well. On other types of plants you might get a variegated variety, but that is about it...
Elsa
Debra,
I like your "Nice Big Fluffy One".
E
Love all your blooms Emma, absolutely gorgeous Your
turquoise and white blooms are stunning.
Becky, your Pres Bush from 2008 is a real beauty.
Beautiful pink Debra and the fluffy purple is gorgeous too.
Emma, I guess I planted the turquoise white JMG out in front for all passersby to admire. I have a tagless variegated asagao out there.
Will know when the flowers appear, certainly.
Elsa, I so totally agree with you about the beauty of JMGs. If you plant the vine early in the season, leaves are all the vine has to offer. Some of the unvariegated leaves have attractive qualities, such as a thin dark edge or tactile trait of feeling fuzzy or felt-like.
