Not 2 minutes later, this Osprey flew by. I didn't get his photo until he made the return flight back past us a few minutes later.

Hah, the Silvereyes has such facial expression! Duc, it was a nice day where I indulged in a big fat hamberger (without guilt) while watching the ducks swimming outside the Restaurant.
Hack, I believe you're spot-on. The Pekin duck is indeed the same type of duck they use in commercial AFLACK, quack quack. lol.
I often see this beautiful Eastern Blue Birds up on treetops around here, but they ceased to come to the feeder since early spring.
duc, you'll never suffer from indigestion with all those interruptions to your meal. What an amazing place you live.
thebestmissy, you must have some really good eyes to spot that Mississippi Kite baby & Momma way up high in that Oak.
Wow, MargaretK, that little Silvereye's eye is really striking. Great shot!
Lily, what kind of bird is that that is perched on teh line in your pic?
ducbucln, all you pics are good, but that one of the Bald Eagle flying by is super. AND I think my Brown-headed nuthatch is a juvy. Just look at the way it is perched below, I don't think it's got the hang of it, yet.

Hack... thanks for that info on Neat Image!
You're welcome VA_Wild_Rose.
All your pics are great Burd, but you really nailed that Downy!

I have a few more I just worked up from today. I suffered through an overcast, rainy sometimes, day. I really missed using the real fast shutter speeds.
Here's another male Cardinal, I have tons of them, male and female and juvy.

Margaret, Love the Silvereye and Honeyeater!
Duc, Great raptor shots!
Sweet Bluebird Lily!
Hack, Love the Nuthatch!
Burd, Love the Downy in mid hop!
Mrs_Ed - about the Meadowlarks and Dickcissels starting to look alike - wouldn't matter to me, I've never seen one of either - other than in my bird books. :-)
ducbucln - I don't know which is prettier, the juvy Oriole or the juvy California Quails. Nice shots of both.

I was outside for just a little while, spent most of my time trying to get a pic of a Hummer, they're everywhere now - mean to each other, too. Dad-blame little birds drive me batty. This is the best I could do. But it had landed in the distant bushes and was moving on when I snapped the shutter.

Hack, I'm with you on the Meadowlarks and Dickcissels-they're all pretty. You did great with your hummer. I've been practicing for at least three years and still just get "lucky" shots. Nice job with your mocker and other birds.
Resin, thanks for your input on the oriole & blooms.
Lily, your heron is sure sitting in a pretty spot for his photo. That red-head is one gorgeous bird!
A few Brewer's Blackbirds have been hanging around lately. I sure was happy to see my one guy that has a broken beak return after being gone for a couple months. He seems to be doing just fine breaking up the smaller chunks of peanutes. I haven't gotten his photo yet, but at least he looks healthy.
