On the 45 minute ride in the boat they take you sightseeing. This is so they can radio ahead to the island and let them know that they have left port and how many meals to prepare.
You have a choice of chicken or traditional Maine lobster dinner.
On the way to the island you pass the many lobster buoys which their livelihood depends on here on the coast.

My vacation at the Cottage
Pretty!
That is a pretty church. And now I want lobster!
Lovely, but I would feel too isolated being the only house on the island, but what a get-a-way if you're from a city. Those photos are making me yearn for Maine.....
Arriving at the island you choose where you would like to sit, ouside or in. There is a building with a bar (bar on the boat too) and gift shop and then a dinning area. We sat outside and istantly a young girl appeared to take bring you chowder and ask what you want to drink. This is the lobster pit with everything cooking , wrapped in seaweed.
Celeste - I think we pass those "April to October" island snowbirds on rte. 95 every year....they just have that peaceful look on their faces!! LOL
I can't blame them Louise! Talk about peace and quiet!!
Great photo of you and Brian, Celeste!!
Thanks Louise, he's been feed by then! LOL
You both look great! The vacation agreed with you, clearly!!
love the pic. I am a sucker for light houses; pretty. Reminds me of the cape cod days when we lived in Providence, RI and ventured to Cape Cod for the albeit brief summer.
Those churches are beautiful. The lobsters look delish! I LOVE chowda
Great getaway, Celeste!
Lovely, lovely, lovely.
I love that photo, Celeste!! It could be a painting!
Thanks Louise, Brian call it his "STICK WOMAN & BABES" picture. LOL
I don't see a stick woman! I see a lovely image all the way around!
