My vacation at the Cottage
Thank you all, now you know why I wanted to share these with you. :)
My companion during my time at the Cottage was a lovely Osprey who graced me with his presence, I would wake early, make my coffee and go sit outside and wait for him. Most mornings he was already there waiting, usually perched here up top this tree to my right shoulder if im sitting on the steps.

Wonderful pics and a lovely place for a vacation. The osprey shots are amazing. Good for you finding your own little slice of paradise. The blue flower looks like it could be a penstemon but not much more help here I'm afraid. Hope some one can ID, it sure is pretty.
I think it's salvia, Cambridge Blue...an annual in Maine....oh, what a lovely place, Pixie! Maine coast in summer is my idea of heaven! Hoping to get to Kport after Bill's RU to visit my stepson, & just chill out. Loved the photo of the osprey taking off!
Very nice cottage Pixie!
nice shots of the osprey!!
Celeste - love the rock with the kiss on it. lol
Yes Yank!! You saw it too??!!!!
Nice Celeste, I love the wild morning glories. I agree Marilyn, the blue one is definitely a salvia. The osprey shots are incredible!
i would have had to rent an 18 wheeler - those rocks on the beach would have been coming home! i hope you have the kiss stone at home:)
Very distinctive rock....would look fine in my garden!
I think your blue flower is Viper's Buglos. It grows all over Grand Manan. It is such lovely blue
I trans planted it to my garden but it's an annual and didn't come back in the next. spring.I love your pictures such a lovely spot.My kind of holidayJOY
Thank you Joy!! The blue flower is not Vipers , but is in fact a Blue Sage!! It took me awhile to find it but I think this is it and it's an annual.

Wonderful vacation photos!
Thank you for sharing them with us.
lovely photos Celeste... glad you had a nice time!!!
Lovely pictures Celeste. Very serene.
Ahhhhhhhhhh.....that's me sighing with each new shot as it loaded. You had me there with you for a bit! All so beautiful...love the kiss rock, the shorline, the fog, the beach chairs, the views in all directions, and the osprey fishing....OMG, how cool is that to watch and to have your camera with you! The flowers are pretty too....especially that lovely shade of blue! Happy for you and yours to have had the serenity and space!!
Very nice Celeste, I'm jealous. Makes me look forward to my vacation even more.
Debi - are you doing another railroad vacation?
We will probably look up excursion train rides in the Pacific northwest. So far we only have our flights, so better start looking for hotels. Staying 10 days. We will do the W Virginia camping caboose again in the fall.
ooooh, the PNW by railroad sounds really good to me! Ten whole days will be a great get-away! Maybe some of the PNW DGers can give you some suggestions. Those that posted on this forum were really nice!
Maybe I'll post there, remember Shelly? redchick. She was going to give me some ideas last year but we postponed til this year, and she hasn't been on DG for awhile.
Yes, I was thinking of her. She lost her cat and was very sad. She hasn't been here in awhile. I hope things are ok with her.
Oh Deb, can I stowe away in your suitcase? I've lost a bunch of weight and don't weigh to much.....always wanted to see the PNW. if you find Shelly, give her out best and tell he to get back ASAP.LOL

Sure Celeste! Too bad about Shelly, we had talked about meeting up last year. Hope to see her back at DG.
