Lovely pics everyone.
Pixie that color on First Crown lily is scrumptious. As is the HH,poppies and roses. DD gets me every time I see a pic of it, beautiful bloom.
JoAnn your poppy combos are so pretty and the scenes of your garden are really lovely. I agree thank goodness for gardens.
Robin your pics of DL and cal. poppy are so bright and cheerful, just really nice and summery.
This is a pic of the first bloom from echinacea 'Summer Sun'. It is supposed to change color but to what color we shall see.

Love that arbor!!! Your balloon flowers look good, cant wait for mine:)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice balance Pat

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice shots pat - the balloons do look nice - waiting for mine i tried trimming them down this year.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thanks everyone. The balloons are tall and I left the stakes in front of them over winter just in case, but so far no flopping yet. They are quite tall which I didn't expect since the rain and clouds of last spring that made so many things extra tall were not a factor this year.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great shots this morning, ladies!

The poppies individually only bloom a day. They grow with multiblooms on one stem that open day after day. They also grow in bunches as they were sowed and as the biggest plants mature with seed pods I pull them and hang them upside down to allow the seeds to mature.Yes a paper( no plastic)bag tied loosly over the pods keeps any seeds from emptiin onto the floor.
The smaller plants in the clump continue to grow .They may not be as lerge as the enitial plants but they do bloom and seeds can be harvested.

Love them, Jo, and the arbor scene is very pretty, Pat. Curious to see what Summer Sun turns into.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Very lovely shots, Celeste, Marilyn, Pat and JoAnn! JoAnn - on your garden scenes album, what is the white heuchera in the 3rd photo? I love that combo you have in that shot. Pat - I love your arbor and the whole area around it.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Louise. There is no "white" heuchera. That is a silvery rasberry leafed one.Rasberry Ice I believe.

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

GE - for a second I thought you were showing Purple Prince LILIES. I was like - already?

Anyway, took more shots today. Here's an example of how I packed every square inch in my beds.

Shown in picture - echie Ruby Star, English rose - Heritage, echie Milkshake, Tangerine Dream, Helenium Mardi Gras.
This fall Helenium will pack her bags and will relocate to another place. Acquiring the real estate will be another English rose shrub.

Opposing shot. Lily buds in foreground is oriental Marlon, somewhere in the middle - one already partly open is oriental Tiber. Aster Alma Potschke(sp?) which I already pinched for the 3rd time is tucked in there too.

Echie Meringue and Winchester Cathedral (white and white). Next to Winchester Cathedral is Mary Rose. WC by the way is a sport of Mary Rose by origin.
