Chat Room Tonight?

Is the chat room open tonight?
I thought I had read it had been moved to Wednesdays.

Yes, I mean no. Well, I mean yes. Um.

Ahem. :)

Actually, first I announced that Wed was the new chat night, but then many members came forward and said they would never be able to make it because they attend mid-week church services that night.

It's good TV season now...

Well, Thursday doesn't work anymore, because CBS's Survivor starts next week.

Tuesday hardly works, because of Frasier.

Then, nobody wants to sit in front of the computer on Monday night, and Friday night and the weekend are probably mostly reserved for family-time.

Argh, what to do? It's looking like Tuesday may be the day. I'm waiting for good feedback, and haven't heard anything just yet.

Anyway, in the meantime, we'll have chat tonight. I'll open it up around 7:00pm. See ya there!

Dave, you have your hands full. Need to post this question in the Voting Booth. Dave, you can please some of the people sometimes, but not all the people all the time.
I know it would probably mean extra work for you on your end, but why don't you have a chat open in the morning on one day and then have an evening chat....all the same hours.From 7-10am and then 7-10p.m. Just a thought.But then my brain don't work have the time anyway.

Everyone could put a TV in their computer room, and keep one eye on the monitor and one eye on the TV ... (how's that for causing more addiction - hah!!!)

What ever happened to VCR's for recording those shows when you want to be doing something else?

Mary, I'm here every morning and most all of the day. When could I use the VCR ?? LOL!!! I've got it bad!

Oh, I'm giggling so hard right now I can hardly type. Ya'll are too funny. Yes, I have a TV in the same room as my PC. I get a crick in my neck (and yes, that's a legitimate medical term, by the way) from twisting around to keep an eye on the TV and one on the screen. Is there such a thing as the opposite of cross-eyed? That'd be me.

Dave, having a voting poll probably isn't a bad idea, although we must all remember that Webmaster Dave gets the final vote :) Or perhaps alternating chat nights, although that could get a bit confusing.

this is the only chance I get to chat, half an hour before I leave work (lol) once I get home I have a million things to do starting with getting dinner on the table, etc. etc., I'm sure you all know what I mean.

I need to put a mirror up, my computer is in one corner of huge living room, tv is on same wall as me, pointing of course to the recliner (guess who sits there?)
I can hear great, but I've nearly broken my neck trying getting up for 'you gotta see this!!

Any night is fine with me...I pick DG over any tv program...DH keeps the tv so loud I can listen anyway :-) vic

GrannyLois,funny that you should mention that. We have a TV in our computer room and also a stereo system and of course the kitchen is just a few steps away and our bedroom right next to our computer room with another TV and VCR. DH also has a TV out in his workshop and then of course we have a TV in our living room and one that needs fixing. Can be on the computer,watch TV and listen to the stereo all at the same time if I want.

I had a wonderful time in chat last night! Boy was that room full! So many people came and went, it was hard to keep up. LOL I got made fun of, got to make fun of other people and gained about ten pounds listening to chat about Tostitos, seafood, crawfish and had a quick trip to Louisiana too. Whew, what a night. I am worn out from all the travelling and eating. :) Oh, and I got renamed several times and now I am having a personality conflict. ROTFL More people should check in! Of course then I would be really confused.

Anytime suits me, I just cant sit in front of the what I refer to as the "boob tube" other than the news and the Discovery channel, these other shows just don't get my attention, when it comes to television I am really not up with the times! Friends talk about different shows and people at work and I have no idea what they are referring to, I haven't even heard of most titles of new shows in the past 10 years. Must admit, if they brought back Red Skelton or Ed Sullivan they would have my full attention!

Oh, haighr, you are my validation! I have never been able to understand the obsession with tv, and suffer the same gap in knowledge of programs others know so well. Never saw "Dallas" and other shows like that, can't stand what I call television voices, and I get real nervous if I have to watch or even be in hearing range. I am so glad to have found a kindred soul. Aimée

I am not a tv watcher at all. I don't have the tv on at all when I'm home alone, but when dh walks in the house, the first thing he does is turn it on. I do, however, tape Days of our lives throughout the week and power watch it while I surf davesgarden late night weekends. LOL
