Wow, Rose, you must have had a bunch of rain or the sprinklers were on a long time. Great photo and welcome back from me too!

Ha...thanks Marna and Duc! I think the Robins have been robbing one of the flower beds that I've recently planted and keep watered. I see them with their mouths full several times a day.

Cute video GG!

GG, your hummer is cute the way it switches feeding holes. I've never seen mine do that.

Rose, that jay is adorable all wet and then getting blown dried. That bb is adorable.

Nanny, cute birds, especially the goldfinch and orioles.

Marlton, NJ

Good to see you back Rose! Lovely shots of the Blue Jay and Bluebirds! Can't forget the Worm Buffet Robin.

Nice shots nanny! Love seeing the Orioles, mine having been diving into the orange trumpet vine.

Hey Rose so nice to hear from you again. The Blue Jays seem to just love your salon parlor. ;)
Nanny, glad your still seeing the Orioles, mine just pass through. I feel like Marna with her Hummingbirds.
Cute caption, HMM.

Duc... love your eagle and tree swallow. The little one with the fish in the photo did not swallow it... the fish was taken away from him by his brother or sister and eaten. LOL!

The orioles are here all the time. They are really busy coming and going for jelly so I wonder if they they little ones hatched. Should be showing up here soon and then it will be really busy with them & the catbirds!

Oh, Nanny, that's precious.

Wonderful birds, Rian. The Sunbird is spectacular and your Shrike is beautiful. Are the Shrikes good songsters?

Port Elizabeth, South Africa(Zone 10a)

Margaret, yes and no, funny answer...they actually imitate other birds but their own is "harsh grating noise". They are aggressive to other birds and feed on "Insects, spiders, small rodents, small birds (sparrows, wagtails, Laughing Doves, guineafowl chicks up to 30 g, nestlings), small frogs and tadpoles, lizards, snakes; also seeds, food scraps (bread, porridge from dogbowls)."

Marlton, NJ

Rian, I love the Shrike and the Sunbird is gorgeous!!! Congratulations on the sunbird!

Nanny, They are so wonderful to have around.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Mary, cute finch pair and comment.

Burn, enjoyed seeing your Crow, Flicker and Tree Swallow.

Rian, your Shrike is just beautiful. Congratulations on your first Sunbird.

Nanny, I sure wish your Orioles would teach my Orioles to enjoy that jelly. My birds just stick their noses up in the air.

Speaking of Orioles looking at you through the window Nanny, that's what this one was doing to me.

I had to wait for this Tree Swallow to finish his grooming so I could walk down the stairs next to him. If they see us coming, they'll sit still when we pass within a couple feet of them.

My husband was going to remove this feeder and add the ant guard above it, but had to wait a while because the hummers refused to leave. I'm beginning to think all of our birds are a bit spoiled.

This isn't the clearest photo, but another hummer (Anna's) was sitting on the branch (attached to the deck railing) right next to my husband.

Wow duc you (or your DH) should try holding the feeder in your hand while the other takes your picture when the hummers come on it. Great shots!

Duc, that last one is priceless. You captured such a connecting moment!
